Now you're just making crap up. There are many theories to why the dinosaurs went extinct, and they're all theories, even though they are not at all true beyond reasonable doubt. Fail troll is fail.

A theory is an explanation for a body of facts that describe all relevant facts and is disprove by no facts.

This allows for mass climate change and Asteroid Impact to both be theories. Both describe facts and neither is disproven by any fact.

Thing is, this isn't a bad thing about theories, it lends to their strength. Number of theories is inversely proportional to the avaliable data.

In fields where there is a single theory, it suggests there is of huge amounts of data and evidence.

You can't turn theories into laws because they're just not the same thing. Not to mention that we can't ever eliminate all other possible theories, we can only eliminate other thought-up theories. Promoting explinations around because of a possible lack of creativity is poor practice.
