ok, one person has blue and green eyes and another person has brown and green eyes, if they had a kid what color would that kids eyes most likely be?

Heterochromia is when someone has different colored eyes. Like the left might be blue and the right might be green.

I think that the original poster may have intended that the eyes are a blend of colors, but... yeah, did not come across like that.

Are you saying they both possess a dominant and submissive trait? If so, then brown eyes will win, although a child may likely have the traits for all four in their genetics afterwards.
If you possess a blue eye and a green eye... then brown will probably win. Genetics aren't very predictable though. |

There are multiple genes involved in determining eye color - the blue/brown eye chart is a dramatic oversimplification used in school to demonstrate the principle of dominant versus recessive traits (why they don't just choose something that is that simple instead is a whole different question).
There are at least four genes involved, so from the information provided, there's no way to come up with a good answer to the question. |

Eye color is very easy to see and everyone knows their eye color. Same with hair color (which is probably the second most commonly used examples in school) In fact, most traits are characterized by multiple alleles so their isn't any real easy examples to use in school. Unless you do something like blood type, but for some odd reason no everyone knows their blood type. |

When you say brown and green are you talking about heterochroma.

There's a chemical in your body called malanin. It determines pigment (color) of eyes, skin, and hair. The "Default" is brown; if your eyes are the usual "turd brown" color, then you have the appropriate level of melanin in your body (evidence by brown being the most common eye color between races, and even species). A deficiency causes lighter eyes, skin, and hair. This makes your eyes blue (which is very low melanin), your hair blonde, and your skin pale. Melanin-rich Brown eyes often have a gold tint, like mine. People with low melanin levels have blue eyes. Blue+yellow=green. This is a horrible over-simplification, but i think it gets the idea across. |
