They're not mutually exclusive. I believe that evolution happens and I believe that religions also happen. I have concrete observational evidence of churches, although I can't be sure that it isn't just noisy data, nor do I ascribe to the theory that the only possible explanation of churches is in fact religion; it could have been random chance. In fact, I have more concrete evidence for the occurence of religion, both historically and in the present, than I do of evolution, since I have not witnessed as many instances of populations evolving as I have of people acting religious (or, more specifically, events most easily explained as such).

yes that seems more logical than faith to me

because of resonance a group of people could trigger a higher percentile chance to cause it. I know meditators in an experiment (500 of them) influenced a true random number generator to cause more zeroes than ones, so perhaps they attracted like events that were initially random by their similarities or something. So if it was like .0012 percent chance and 50 people there maybe it went up to .06 chance for example.

Yeah, it's one thing to say that a bunch of people meditated and influenced a random number generator in a slight way, it's another to say they forced it to do one thing or another, or to suggest the reason was because of some mysterious "resonance". Resonance of what, exactly?

basically same idea as group hallucination i think, but it was caused my similar expectations and such. Also from the environment i'd think, and peoples mindsets.

I believe that this Robert Boston and Anderson Cooper
we're treating her like she was an idiot.

I believe in both evolution and creationism.

I think God made us to evolve.

What do they call that, intellectual design or something? I don't know.

I just think they were being really mean to that woman.

And no, I don't think the world is 10000 years old or whatever they were saying.

That's ridiculous. They barely let her speak and made her look stupid.

But I kind of agree that she was avoiding the question.

Komodo Dragons and Alligators are dinosaurs.
BOOM, just disproved evolution. Just kidding.

That chicken with the teeth made me laugh.

I guess I don't really believe in Creationism,
if they have a bunch of stupid theories like that,
but I don't think evolution disproves God or anything.

I was going to say more, but I realize this is the science section,
so I'll just shut up. xd

I'm a believer, so I'm curious... what's the evidence?

But this is a science and technology forum and all of my opinions
basically come from religion and spirituality. Mostly philosophies and theories,
but some concrete, unshakable beliefs.

I don't think it would be courteous.
