hmm oatmeal? i heard that it takes ages to digest, which is why it keeps you fuller for longer?

â–ºWhen I run in the morning I never eat breakfast.
But if you're going to make sure you wake up early enough so that you can eat, wait for it to digest, and use the bathroom before leaving. 'Cause they're nothing worse than having to run while you need to take a dump.

Oatmeal is good because its breakfast, has good nutrients, and doesnt make you to full.
Before my half marathons or full marathons me and my parents would eat oatmeal.

I get dizzy if I run on an empty stomach. I like to eat fruit before my runs, especially bananas. I have digestion issues, but fruit before running doesn't bother me for some reason. I've read that the best thing to eat it carbohydrate, and to avoid fat before running.

I usually try to grab a banana right before I put my shoes on, and when I come back eat a regular breakfast which is usually oatmeal or an english muffin.
I don't have a problem running on an empty stomach, I see it more as an incentive for me to run faster so I can eat sooner bc I'm usually starving! Whatever is working for you, I would continue doing it emotion_yatta
