Vampirefreaks.com is a social networking website created for gothic culture. Users must be thirteen or over to register, and the site is also used by older people who are called 'Elder Goths'.

The site allows users to interact with each other using comments and bulletins (these are also used on the popular social networking website MySpace), messageboard and much more.

Users can also upload photos and share them with other users, and a profile can be created.

Jethro Berelson is the creator of vampirefreaks.com, and the site was launched in 1999. It has 150,000 visitors per day, and 850,000 people are signed up to the site.

The site allows users to create groups with gothic themes. These groups are known as cults and many of the cults are created for films such as Tim Burton films (Nightmare Before Christmas), and bands such as Marilyn Manson.
