I decided to take a stroll through some of the other forums of Gaia. You'd be amazed at how hard it is not to break into uncontrollable fits of laughter.
Furries were bad enough. (Yes, I knew about all these sub-classes before. I'm just now finding it amusing.) But now there's like, vampire furry hermaphrodites who are gay. (Boggles me, as well.)
I remember when I was a kid. I pretended to be a knight. Not a fox knight, not a vampire knight (*Gasp@Forever Knight*). Just... A knight.
When did smaller fantasy get so boring that things had to expand into the completely ridiculous?
No, you aren't a fox. You aren't a vampire. You're not a spotted monkapotamus. You're human. If you're reading this, and/or replying, chances are, more than likely, you, my friend, are human.
Vampires, eeh... I know, there's the sub-culture underground kind of blood-sucking thing. But I'm talking the fantasy/mythical origin.
So basically, the discussion I'm trying to get started, the question to ask is: Are our imaginations so shot as a society that people flee to these fantasies?
Or is it the tails? And the fur? And the.. muzzle. *twitches*
Your thoughts?
