After five years of being with this account, I was only recently hacked two days ago. Since when do non-material good such as internet pixels become so important that you must invade another persons computer to obtain them? I've been demeaned to act upon a mule account to get my word across that Gaia is in a recession.

Five years of obtaining, and three days after I finally bought back an oldie, my nitemare headband, I get hacked.

ive been here since 04, i know its not saying much (survived 2 hackings...) but personally the cash shop was the worst thing to happen to gaia by offering items that arent MCs for RL cash you basically doomed the economy to only the rich people with deep wallets can achieve their expensive dream avi. for example back in 05 i remember the ninja headband being worth 75k-90k and in 06 it was hovering around 100k-120k expensive but not impossible to the dedicated player. after cash shop was in full swing it was as high as 1 mill. now tell me how a new player in 08 is EVER going to hope to get that without falling into the cycle of buying expensive EI items and whatnot.

to sum up what i said CS=no gold sinks=continuing inflation

i just fear this site will end up like post WWI Germany.

In october it'd be my 3rd year on gaia. I don't know how it was before but it sounds so much better. When I first started though everything was still much cheaper than now. I totally agree with Itami everything he said. It's very unfair to be punished for being to active.

I've been through a few accounts on Gaia, but I've altogether played for about three years. The cash shop screwed all of us veterens because we pretty much refuse to pay $10 for something out of the cash shop, but new people come in here with their credit cards and buy the whole cash shop and become instantly rich. We should boycott the cash shop! Though it would be hard to convince some of the people with hot wallets, if you could get enough veterens and get this petition looked at, we might get somewhere. That would be f****** awesome! Let's do it! I won't buy anything off the marketplace from there. Now we've got one.

The cash shop items are way too expensive for an internet site! $10 for ONE item :/ I understand the reason for the cash shop is probably to pay their workers... but come on! How much are they paying them an hour to make things???

That and the banning of accounts for THEIR mistake (the fish glitch). I think that was totally uncalled for (no it didn't happen to me), people are gonna be people. A lot of innocent people got their accounts banned because they were victims to it.

Stop focusing so much on the hackers. They are going to always figure out new ways to get around things. Infact, I know their main reason for hacking it to bring down the site. If Gaia isn't going to even help those that actually get their accounts hacked/phished/whatever.. then why are they focusing so much on it? Finish the dang battling system!

Last thing and I stop my rantings lol

I totally agree with Gaia's Mods being unprofessional. I've been trying to help my boyfriend figure out how to get his items back after a GLITCH deleted them (He had a Katana and Gwee for every position among other things). I've talked to Admins about it and they basically said I was lying. They have records. Why not use them???

I remember the middle gaia, after the original layout and before the current layout. I loved that a lot, and then they changed it. Then they created an "Updated" marketplace, aka, a tax. What was that for? An economic stimulus project for gaia's "economy". It's pixels, lanzer, and that prompted me to leave, give everything away, and change my password so i wouldnt remember it.

Then I got bored one day and created this account, only to find gaia has been rampaged upon. cash shop? evolving items? what a scam. You don't go on gaia to spend your money, thats not the point! The point is to have fun, and gaia's so much like real life now, they're kind of ruining the point.

The olympics? The prom? Just big publicity stunts, let's make more money! You can make enough money by having googleads run on your page, stop making millions off of your users, that's just completely turning others away.

And all of this nonsense, instead of having ten gold per post and ten gold per vote and all that stuff, it starts out at 50/10 and then falls down to 25/5. it's completely unfair that the people who aren't good at, say, pinball or puzzles, dont get the same advantages as the people who are, or have money to spend on a fake life with no real value.

To be honest I miss the old images on the homepage that would give you the feeling that when you logged in something amazing would happen, and it truth there was! Now whenever I see the front page I get a over size image of artwork from an NCP with crap added to it.....

Gaia please go back and no I do not mean to the design before this one where it looked like a tourist site but to the anime goodness that you used to be.

I mean, really. This is way out of hand. I know I only joined April/May of 2005, but it was cute back then. I wasn't really into anime as much as I am now, so I missed out on some things.

One of the things that bothers me the most is the sponsorships. Most of them are about 10-14 quests and ads. Now, they should actually have a quest thats slightly more mature. Or anime/ video game related. Now, I know about the one anime one they had a while ago, but that's not enough. And whatever happened to the anime style clothes that came out in the stores? I had a friend who was an anime lover and whenever a new item would come out she would tell me "Hey, that's from ____." Now, that's not true. So, I sign in hopes that maybe something will happen.
