Are you really sure you didn't got a blanket ban?, sorry for being skeptical but normally this kind of case with relentless bans without answer are because of what's called a blanket or umbrella ban, made to people who posted something really nasty (one case posted here in SF in a similar manner comes to mind, the person had posted something along the lines of "I posted your baby photos in a ***** website so others can see them" or something truly horrible like that to another user who had a photo of her baby in her signature) or illegal, if this isn't your case, I hope it gets resolved, if it is, then we'll surely see an admin giving us the full scoop here soon enough.

Eh, not really. I can read it as a joke from someone who is understandably frustrated. I don't see how that's "unfair" to anyone. If I was in the OPs position, I'd be frustrated too, but at least he is making jokes rather than spewing poorly spelled vitriol like many who wander in here.

OP: Posting here, in Bugs and sending tickets was a good idea. I'd sit tight, and wait for an answer - as well as bumping your Bugs thread. StrawberryZ0mbie gave you good advice, too. Make sure you have as much information as possible. It could be an new browser compatibility issue, etc.

It has to do with something in Firefox, because I just opened up Internet Explorer out of curiosity since you mentioned it, and it logged in with the first try.

I don't know if this is the same as your problem. But, I've got my username and password saved in firefox and it still consistently gives me that "OOPS WRONG PASSWORD/USERNAME" the first (and sometimes second) time I try to log in. Putting the same username and password into the subsequent login page then mysteriously works. I know it's the same one since it's the same one that has been saved in firefox the entire time, and works after the 2nd or 3rd attempt.

So, no, it's possible that your problem has nothing to do with any blanket ban or anything like that. Have you tried entering the username and password multiple times?

I do have to say that happens to me as well, it says it's the wrong password, but I have it saved in the browser, I just click again and it goes through, it usually does it once and in some cases twice, I never posted about it because I thought they would be aware of it by now, they should really iron those wrinkles...

@OP: I'm glad your issue isn't what I mentioned before, you should include in your thread in the bug reports the information that appears in the reply window, it has your browser info.

Yeah I immediately tried the whole "Log in multiple times and see if it works" strategy, but that didn't work either otherwise I'd be doing that, lol.

It sounds like your were blanket banned. I've heard of this happening once before. A girl said some horrible stuff (that I will not repeat) and harassed other users and posted child porn. She had the same problem you are. (Not saying that you've done any of that)

You could send a Mod a PM and ask them about it. They maybe able to help you.
