Indeed. And regardless, the OP along with others will carry on in their privileged manner and continue to spout ignorance.

Oh, you. Being so sensitive again. Can't you just get over it like white people have?

Oh I know right. I'm totally being the uppity negro because I don't wanna be called a racial slur. *goes to look for her race card to throw at white folks*

Hey, if you don't want to be called a slur, that's fine. It's no different than not wanting to be called a b***h, or hell, even not wanting to be called by your real name. I can respect that. I myself have been known to shoot evil glares at people, for using my full first name. I just hate being called by it. It's too "formal".

However, my problem lies in people acting like that word is something "forbidden". It's no different than me being called a ginger, or a "Short-s**t". Actually, it's no different than any other term used to describe a given characteristic. Except that it has more "history" (get over it, people. You weren't even alive, back then), and people try to protect that "forbidden" status, for some stupid a** reason.

Even "b***h" has lost its flair. And "c**t" is starting to.

Actually, fire crotch, it's quite different.

xd fire crotch! My favorite!

Yes, we are firey, in the crotch! wink

That aside, how is it different? It's still an insult toward a characteristic, and nothing more, on either side.

Oh, wait. That's right, I forgot. Your kind were once slaves. Just like everyone else, at some point in time.

Quote:

Nope. I never claimed that.

Try again, cornrows.

Quote:
Racism is totally dead, amirite?

Never claimed that, either.

But it is on life support.

People get stigmatized, for being racist. That's why they try to "sneak" it. And the ones that come right out and say it, are laughed at.

"Institutionalized racism" is about the only thing you have left, to worry about. And even that's dying.

And it's not like there aren't black supremicists, and segregation against white people. Maybe not to the same extent as there once was, against blacks, but it's still there. And isn't ALL racism bad, regardless of who's had it "worse"?

That's one thing I've always found funny. I can bring up things that whites are racially oppressed over, but "that's not as bad as what we went through!" like its a ******** contest, or something...

Who cares who has it worse? The fact that ANYONE has it "bad" in the first place, is unnacceptable.

No no no. We must let the white folks tell us darkies what racism is, because they OBVIOUSLY know so much better then us darkies.

Highly debatable, close enough, negligible, debatable.

There is clear evidence that schools with minority communities get less funding by wide margins compared to wealthy schools, which then makes it highly debatable to say all minorities have the same job opportunities. Wages are close, so I give you that, as its like a ten cent difference if I remember. Stores do have a bias against people of color; I have been in enough A&E and Abercrombie and Fitch to attest to that. Also, realtors dont share the same homes with each other, so minorities are generally shown homes in minority neighborhoods and whites homes where whites are. Most of that is the culture of the industry, but it still exists.

Well, I heard something about a bill that would allow schools to get funding based on the students within it, not the location. Basically, a parant can put their child in any school they want them in, and that school gets funding for that student. The student leaves, so does the funding. Wherever the student goes, the funding goes. Nothing more fair than that.

So it's not like they're not working on it.

Until I see a link to the language of the bill, I dont believe you. I am even more so disinclined to because most all school funding provided is equalized so that it is the same for each student. What happens now is that schools in poor neighborhoods, coincidentally where minorities are, dont have the resources or the skills to get private funding sources like more wealthy schools can obtain, also interestingly race based. Besides, you said it was the same, so, by your own admission, you were not telling the truth.

I speak to the national pay rate. I could care less where you are. Like I said though, its not a big enough difference in my book to make a stink about it.

Next, you ignore the fact that you said the stores are the same; dont change the subject.

Again, you said it was the same. Under your own admission, its not.

Based on the HR representative in question, alone. It's not "company policy" in many places, I'll wager. Just personal preference of the persons making the selection. They have just as much a capability to favor black sounding names, as they do to oppose them.

And proving either case, is grounds for a lawsuit, and a serious b***h-slapping from OSHA, and Better Business.

We're still equal opportunity, legally, even if some HR reps might be klansmen.

Seeing a lot of talk of "evidence", but nothing of "proof".

You will make more money than me on ALL educational levels.

Valid, but give it time. And I'm willing to bet that study is flawed, because where I work, it appears that blacks and whites get equal pay. And I would simply hope it's not a rarity.

Page not found.

That's not racism, it's genetics! You can't fault me, because Mother Nature seems to be pissed at you.

If you want to go THAT route, then I'm WAY more likely to suffer a sunburn, than you are. And if what I hear is true, you can stand hotter temperatures, than I can. So Nature has it's quirks for both of us, even if it seems to hate you more.

Stores do have a bias against people of color; I have been in enough A&E and Abercrombie and Fitch to attest to that.

Well, why the hell would you ever shop at those places, anyway?

Quote:
Also, realtors dont share the same homes with each other, so minorities are generally shown homes in minority neighborhoods and whites homes where whites are. Most of that is the culture of the industry, but it still exists.

In some places, yes. But those places I'd wager are generally frowned upon, in the grand scheme.

I'll look into it. I'm not sure how to find it though, so it may take some time.

Quote:
I speak to the national pay rate. I could care less where you are.

Ah. So, you don't care that it is possible for blacks to get equal pay, you only care that not all blacks do.

I'm arguing capability. It is possible, and I've seen it happen.

If you're not in such a company, then raise hell, and get it changed, or try to get a better job.

Quote:
Like I said though, its not a big enough difference in my book to make a stink about it.

Agreed.

Quote:
Next, you ignore the fact that you said the stores are the same; dont change the subject.

Not changing the subject. I was unaware of any stores that discriminate, because I don't shop at any that do. In my experience, there aren't many that do.

And I was seriously asking why you would shop at those stores. I can't wrap my mind around someone willingly paying that kind of money, for such low quality product.

Quote:
Again, you said it was the same.

Based on experience. I can't speak for the world at large. But if nothing else, people are equal where I live. I would simply assume my location is not a rarity.

well... because people often mean it in an offensive way, very much saying the word mother ******
is meant to be an offensive term... or sod in some cases.

Yeah, and?

ANY term can be offensive, or endearing, based on its context of use.

"What's good, n***a?" = positive (or at least, neutral)

"Great job, genius." = negative (when used sarcastically).

And I'm challenging the validity of that answer.

It's called "debating".
