Story Part one.
It's July 13th, 1888 and the day was wonderfully sunny in Victoria Canada. Too sunny for Luke. You see, Luke hates the sun and the heat, no one in the town knows why, he never says much about it, but it's quite obvious he does. For when a sunny day rears it's bright and shinning head Luke always seems to stay inside, working late hours in order to leave work at dusk. No one really bothered him much about it, and Luke was glad they didn't. Luke worked in a clothing shop owned by and old friend of his, a 30 year old man by the name of Eric. Eric was a tough buissnes man but he had a soft heart. Luke lived most of his life with this man even though he had no blood relations with him.
Luke was absolutely miserable today, the combination of the sun and the lack of customers caused him to suffer endless boredom. This was stupid, he thought to himself. There was going to be no customers today, they were all busy having fun in the horrible sun. Then, as he was about to take a nap the store door opened and in stepped a young woman in a light blue dress. "How may I help you?" Luke asked.
"Oh, nothing at the moment, I'm not here to buy anything." The woman said as she pulls out a small journal and starts writing. "But thanks for asking. This place has a lot of history, doesn't it?"
"Uh..I think so. Why are you writing?" Luke asks.
"A love story....well....more like a vampire story.....it has a bit of a Romeo and Juliet theme to it." The young woman says, tucking a piece her scarlet hair behind her ear. "It's not fully developed yet but for some reason this place gives me some inspiration."
Luke chuckles, "Vampires, eh? Seems pretty interesting. Well, I kind of know a thing or two about vampires if you want a little more research just ask."
"Thanks, do you do a lot of reading on old myths on vampires? It seems like you do." She smiles and laughs.
"You could say that ha ha." Luke laughs. "Well, take your time."
"I think I have enough inspiration for now, thanks. Oh, sorry for being so rude, what is your name?" The young woman quickly asks.
"It's Luke Becker." Luke says. "What's yours?"
"Lydia Edwards." Lydia giggles and prances out the door.
"Lydia....hmm....what a lovely name." Luke sighs and stairs out the window.
