Nothing like watching random people on the street get sliced into pieces by invisible hands. Children, police, parents, babies. Disembowling puppies, covering rooms with blood, all these things and MORE in Elfin Lied. But damn was that anime sad.

Elfen Lied is by far the most gory I've watched. I'm gonna look up some of these other suggestions later.
