Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is my favorite anime. I think Trigun would come after that.

I'll try almost anything as long as it isn't too sad or violent.

But I prefer anime with some kind of fantasy element to them, or ones that are very lighthearted or cute.

Kamichama Karin or Shugo Chara sounds like a good match for you. I think.

I usually like shounen manga/anime-- like Bleach, or like horror/supernatural manga/anime (yu yu hakusho, blood +, death note... etc) but I do heart the Ouran High School host club. I also like Outlaw Star-- whatever that falls under. xd

I try to check things out all across the genre spectrum. The only genres I don't like are hentai and animes that are basically an excuse for massive amounts of fanservice. That, and shonen series where the it takes seven episodes for someone to throw a punch. D:
