Code Geass and Bleach.

Code Geass just confuses me. Every time I attempt to watch it, I forget what I'm watching and start referring to Lelouch as Kira. And no, not from Death Note. I keep waiting for Athrun and Lacus to pop up, until I realize that that's not what I'm watching. I mean, on the whole, it screams Death Note meets Gundam Seed to me. That, and Suzuka looks waaay too much like Syaoran. Which, speaking of Tsubasa, amazed me when I found out that it was by CLAMP. I just can't see them doing a decent mecha series, and as it started out, I was pretty impressed, but no.... I could barely make it to episode eight before I just quit. I can't bring myself to like Lelouch. I liked Light because aside from all the righteousness going on, there was still intelligent plot behind it. With Lelouch, there's not really much thought process going on, let alone character development. He just moves a chess piece, so to speak, and claims pretty shallow explanations as his reasons for all that. It's like, four episodes in, "GASP! He's a prince?!", then two later it's suddenly for his sister, and so on.... I found myself siding with the empire rather than the characters that I was probably supposed to. And then on top of all that, Britannia just irritated me. I don't really care if it wasn't intended to be related to Britain. With all of the references to that culture, and all the hate from the 11s against it, I just felt a little intimidated. That's my heritage and my culture they're talking about hating. I can understand Nazis and historic things and such, and maybe I'm over reacting a little bit with that one, but it just bothers me to see that....
Bleach, I've tried numerous times to watch and read. I actually really like how a lot of the characters look, and the costumes are neat to me, but the story just kills me. I stopped watching Yu Yu Hakusho and several other anime way back when because it seemed like everything was suddenly revolving around tournaments and fight after fight after fight. It just got annoying and senseless after a while, and eventually I tuned it out. Bleach just kind of represents the same thing to me. High school boy gets powers, boy fights with powers while still somehow attending school, boy runs into group of oh so powerful people and must fight people one at a time, and so on. I'm sure it has it's ups considering how many people like it, but it just gets too monotonous to me no matter how many times I try watching it.
