Sorry. I'm just defensive because the thread just started, is all, and I don't want it getting filled with spam if I leave. I want to make sure I keep everything flowing as smoothly as possible.
((OP, please dont get mad, this is not meant to offend you - its merely an opinion :3 ))

I like how you divided the begining up, and it is well thought and written.
I hope this thread stays active and you reach more people with more posters, but i just cant relate. I love vampires, and i read as much of their history as i do the fictional books.

But i just cant believe people truly suffer from this, though i have seen documentaries on the modern Vampiric lifestyle.

And that's completely fine. :3 Nobody's here to try to push something on you.

Would you consider yourself a modern vampire?
If so, which type?

If you've said so, im sorry - i havent seen >_>

Hrrm..now im looking at pages about living blood consumption...Which reminds me of Elizabeth Bathory, who believed consuming blood of virgins kept her young...Im terribly skeptic of everything that cant be proved by science x333

I thought that I was a psivamp for quite a while, which is how I became involved in this whole scene. Eventually, though, I realized that I'm more of an energy junkie than a real vampire. I work with and occasionally consume metaphysical energies, and I do crave them every now and then, but I don't require them to stay healthy. Now I just help out around the community. =)

It's good to be skeptical, in fact I encourage it. It proves that you're thinking, you know? To be honest, I probably wouldn't believe all of this if I hadn't had witness it first-hand.

I think i would have to witness it first hand too.
Im a skeptic, but i hate to say 'uhh..vampires arent real' ..which is all most people had to say on your thread >__>

After all, look at how many called Christopher colombus crazy when he said the Earth is round and not flat, haha!

(( also, WOW you're only 16? You're a smart cookie, im glad not all the youth these days are wasted ))
You can't technically consume energy.... =S

You can consume food, which changes to chemical energy because it was a form of potential energy....

But whatever...

Vampires= Reanimated dead, that's how it's been since "vampires" were first though up by unfortunate anemics and people who so happened to catch rabies.

All you did was change your meaning to make your little "fantasy" seem like a lifestyle.

Another interesting point would be that "psivamps" do not "consume" energies, but just get their adrenaline pumped when around energetic people and people doing activities such as dancing, running, ectect... I get excited when around dancing people or people having a good time, most people do. Doesn't make me a "psivamp" or any of the other people.

And those who are "sang" or whatnot are more-than-likely experiencing a placebo effect.
And drinking another person's blood is very unhealthy, therefore dangerous to do... which is probably where the thrill really comes from.

As I've said to others, prove it.
As far as the consume thing goes, well, I guess it's more absorbing than consuming, but eh.
I know about the blood thing, I think my dad had an article on it way back when. The definition, well, as I explained, the term just kind of stuck. Most blood vamps try to use 'sanguinarian' these days, but the term vampire stays the blanket term.

Definition two would fall more on the lines of the vampire blood fetish. Vampires feel they neeeeed it and can't live without it. when obviously they can rolleyes

According to the definition you pulled off the net, "any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion" where in that does it state that the fetishist cannot live without the object of the person's fetish. It doesn't
Ect= blood, liquids, 'energy' as well. And if you are devoted to something. Honestly devoted you would feel as if you couldn't live with out it.

Requring something to survive/ keep a person healthy though doesn't constitute a devotion.
It is when you are human and you can consume the same things a human consumes and yet choose to take in only blood and this so called energy. Vampires are as fake as everything else that is mythical and people are trying to make real. They do not exist, and Will never exist.

That's where you've made an error. A modern day vampire, be they sanguine or psion still eats a normal healthy diet, often containing a large number of high tanin and high iron content foods Like red meets, black pudding, kale, brocolli, red wine (for those who can drink) and dark chocolate. The blood/chi feeding is supplimentary to a normal diet and tops up the depleted dwyft/chi/prana energy in the vampiric individual.

Ho'kay, the absorbing I think is a little more rational...~ =D
I can't imagine a baby gnawing on blue orbs of energy..... ~cough~

And, prove what? xD
