So...from what you said in your first post, a vampire is a human? Therefore not a vampire at all. A human.

I addressed this in the post. A vampire (by our definition) is a human whom needs blood or energies to remain is a good state of mind and body. I know there are inconsistencies, but as I explained, 'vampire' is just the word that stuck. I prefer to say 'human vampires' whenever possible, if that helps.

Well I actually looked up the word vampire, and you are using it properly. An alternate meaning of vampire, is someone who consumes human blood.

The other word bouncing around is sanguivore, but most modern day vampires feel that they can't assosiate with that word.

]I third this post. All A vampire is, is a human. Vampirism is a cult. They are humans who do these things because of religious reasons. There is nothing special or supernatural about them.
Lets leave fiction and LSD addicts alone and return to reality. Yanno? A life? IF you really have one.

It isn't a cult, and I severely wish people would stop using that as an excuse to bash them. Yes, SOME groups of vampires can be considered a cult. Some people are just downright weird, creepy, disturbing, delusion, and just generally crazy mofo's. I've met a couple of those, and it wasn't pleasant. However, that assumption doesn't apply to the entire community. There are plenty of vampires who lead fulfilling lives, have a good family, and are successful in their careers. Skepticism is one thing but please get your facts straight.
Do you know any of these SO CALLED vampires IRL? Have you Seen how they live their life?

Yes, four of them. Two of them are my long-time friends and have just moved to Colorado. They're very tidy and very nice, and they've helped me out on several occasions. The other older one is a successful engineer with two adorable kitties who likes steampunk fashion. The last one is my best friend of eight years. She's dark and kind of weird, but she's smart and she plans on becoming a CSI after college.

Have you seen them supposedly feed on these energies and blood? They sound like people that say they are rather then being what they are. Vampirism is not a condition, its a cult/fetish. There are no true vampires out there. Human consumption of only blood and 'energy' would cause someone to die pretty young at age.

It's not a cult because i do not belong to any cults. It's not a fetish because I receive no sexual gratification from the consumption of blood.

As for dying at a young age from drinking blood, I'm more likely to die on the job thank you.

Yeah, you do that. And yes you do belong to a cult if you claim to be a vampire. And fetishes are not just for sexual gratitude.

Yes, I have. They did some demonstrations at the last meetup I hosted. They did feeding, plus a few energy exercises and meditation.

As for the rest, that's just your opinion. I find it a bit disturbing that you aren't willing to explore something new. I'm not asking you to believe me, I just think it's healthier to push at your limits rather than live stuck inside of them.

Justice!

Quote:
A vampire is a person that, due to reasons yet to be explained by science, craves and benefits from the regular consumption of blood and/or metaphysical energies, and suffers from withdrawal-like symptoms when deprived of it.

So basically... a normal human being with a disease that you believe you benefit from.
I wish cancer patients could be so enthusiastic.

Knowing I am who and what I am does not constitute belonging to a cult.

what defines a fetish is that the festishist receives sexual gratification (that means pleasure and not thanks) from enacting their fetish. sanguine vampires receive no such gratification from blood drinking in most instances

Okay so you went an pulled out an online dictionary.

definition one: yip I know what that means, that's why you find all these animals carved in turquoise and other stones by Zuni tribespeople, I've got a Zuni wolf fetish somewhere on my ornaments shelf.

definition two: yep that describes people feom the fetish comunity very very well indeed.

definition three: also describes the fetish community very well.

Where in all that does the vampire comunity fall in? I don't see blood as a sacred object with mystical powers, I don't see it as an object to revere, and as already stated I receive no 'erotic respnose' from consuming blood.

Definition two would fall more on the lines of the vampire blood fetish. Vampires feel they neeeeed it and can't live without it. when obviously they can rolleyes

According to the definition you pulled off the net, "any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion" where in that does it state that the fetishist cannot live without the object of the person's fetish. It doesn't

Ect= blood, liquids, 'energy' as well. And if you are devoted to something. Honestly devoted you would feel as if you couldn't live with out it.
