Hmm I'm glad to see a thread about vampire's that is actually logical, and not the uninformed BS seen from most people...

Just for the record I am not trying to flame, be rude, or troll.

I am a tad bit skeptical of the psivamp's. But i do somewhat believe in them. But I have yet to see real proof of psi vampire's. I mean how can people be sure their brain's aren't playing trick's on them. If someone really believes in something, their brain's WILL believe it.

As for timeless vampire's... like "Dracula", they're not real. If you do a bit of research(not wiki or google -_- wink , then you'll see Vampire's were the corpses and spirit's of already deceased people, who terrorized the living. The "timeless" vampire's, who I'm guessing are supposed to be be similar to the fictional character "Dracula", are fiction and superstition stacked with movie myth's. Now if there were real tangible proof that they existed, and were not based off of am fictional novel, and a few 1920's movie's, then I would, obviously, be convinced that they do exist, or that there is a possibility that they exist.

But is their any tangible proof of psivamp's?

Psivamps exist, with the definition she has given, HOWEVER.
I would not call them as such.
There are people like that out there, such as myself, but honestly.
Calling it a form of vampirism?
No. That's kind of, well, dumb.
The term 'sympath' would make more logical sense towards the pyche-side to this whole definition.
Where you are aware of people's energies and emotions, and, in a way, 'feed' on them, and feel exactly what they're feeling.
It's not so much so of you wanting to do this, either.
It just, well, happens.
Sometimes, when it happens, you don't even know who's energies you've picked up, and, it can kind of suck sometimes.
I could get far more in-depth with this, but I'm choosing not to.
So, to restate, yes, psivamps exist, but I would not classify them as such.

And, being in my household, most of the time, my parents are fighting and angry at each other, so basically like a lightswitch, I get angry as hell.
And it SUCKS because I hate being such an angry person, for something I shouldn't even be angry about.
And, in my experience, any anger you pick up lingers far longer than happiness, excitement, worry, or sadness.

I was wondering if anyone else shared my theory on 'phantom limbs' being part of your astral being.

Well seeing as I am not much for doing astral things, I am honestly not too sure, but I HAVE heard of such things as Phantom limbs being associated with it. Now whether it be true or not, I really don't know on that one either.

People like that are also known to be empaths. I am an empath of a sort, and you do know.. you CAN control who's energy you take it, right? It just takes a s**t load of practice and concentration.

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm a sanguarian but I'm also empathic so I do that as well. Do you know if it's possible to project feelings to other people? .-. I think I've done that once but I'm not quite sure ^^"

My canines are weird. My right is longer and pointier than the left. emo Strange. Hey, can anyone here 'sense' when someone is bleeding? I sorta feel 'vibes' (I guess I should call it) that leads me to a bleeding person or animal. Rarely does it make me want to feed though, my thought process is usually Cloth-Peroxide-Bandaid. 3nodding I heard from a few people that they can smell blood, I can only smell blood when I'm up close. It tickles my nose-hairs

Yes, it is, but it's hard to do if you're not used to it. I can usually do it just by touching someone and transferring it that way. It's harder for me to send energy when I can't touch the person. Yet again.. takes a lot of patience and practice.

Blood is ussually only consumed from an old belief that blood is a life force, and you ussually find one parter as you would with sex or marriage, and its a symbol of your dedication to that mate and being one with them, it is simply symbolic in the sense that you are becoming one with their 'life force' traditionally... media strewn vampires are fakes, frauds, and blood lusting vamps are rejected by actual vamperic culture.

That's Reinfield's Syndrom a mental disorder, also called Clinical Vampirism.

Well, i have no health problems, and still have yet to have a drop of anyone elses blood. I know what my family rules are, the same rules we've had for generations prior to me. Some other families may operate differently yes, but the 'symptoms' you speak of, are what my family would refer to as 'the thirst' or the addiction to blood... wich taking from other peoples blood on a regular basis can cause blood diseases, or if you have too much iron in your body, it could even be poisoning.

Here you contradict yourself, slightly. Saying there is a line between real and not real, saying that generally someone is not a real vampire if they have porphyria, but then say it's common amugst vampires....that doesn't make sense.

You are entitled to your own beliefs of how it works. Different family, different rules. Mine may have structure in places yours does not on certain subjects.

The reason we arent taken seriously is because most view us as borderline cannibals, when a good portion of us are not, and sometimes only drink another persons blood once, as the symbol of being one as i stated earlier. Some of the previous posters are basically the poster boys for vampires, and what give us a public image.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with that problem with my canines! ^.^;;

As for sensing if someone is bleeding.. If Evan is bleeding somewhere on his body, I'm ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS the first to realize it, even before he does... it's kind of funny.
I can usually pick up on that sort of thing, but not always. Usually because of the scent.

I love when people try to tell me that blood doesn't have a scent, because by god, if you're a woman, you bleed once a month and you find out REAL quick that blood indeed does have a scent.

I'm not that good with things like that, I'm also not very sure about it. For some I think it does have to do with their astral form, but probably not all.
