Tobias, I believe what everyone is trying to get at here, is the reason most, if not all, of us do not believe you because one: you are the first person to come in here {that I know of} claiming you come from a family full of vampires, and we find this silly, because none of us have experienced that. It just comes off as kind of.. suspicious in our eyes.

Well I don't think anyone intended on doing that or offending, but realize, we're so used to trolls coming here and using bullshit stories, so we are careful and we are far more skeptical on things that do not seem.. "normal" to us. I don't think anyone meant to "attack" you, if you will, but just to question what you were talking about. You seem intelligent and all, but with all the trollers, liars, and people who just plain don't have a clue, it's hard to tell anymore who's serious and has done their research and knows what's going on and who's faking it.

As for your relative xero, if you had talked to him, maybe you'd see the side i see of our actual culture. dont trust public media on anything, especially not what you are. If you are infact one of us, look further into your family history, and try to find links between you and that race, if its there it is, if not it isnt.

I would be over joyed to actually meet someone outside of my family who is not a fraud, as many ive seen lose their fangs when they take of their mask and go to bed.

Coming from 2-3 years in debate teams, i generally become offended when people say i said things that i did not, take me out of context, or attack my personal character.

Simply put, i said upfront that people are entitled to their beliefs on how they think it may work.

But. There is an actual racial aspect to it, that you must be born with if you are to be 'Real' otherwise its just a magical fantasy of 'i drank blood, look at me transform!'

Wich wether you're playing pretend or the real thing, its fine either way in my book though im tired of being portrayed by people that claim to be real who are not, trying to represent us... and doing a poor job at that. We are generally portrayed in the media as animalistic, borderline canibalistic, and without minds of our own. When infact we are generally civilized and blend in alot more then most people would notice.

Playing pretend is fine, go for it, immitating something or someone is the highest form of flattery.

But if you are playing pretend and have no family history of it, and have to buy fake teeth to become a vampire, dont tell me im fake when i was born into it. That is offensive, that is an insult...

For starters, the only ones on this forum that "pretend" are the ******** trolls. So don't put that "pretending" crap down MY throat, especially when I was just trying to make peace and explain their actions.

I don't think anyone ever said that we never had anyone in our families that weren't vampires, because most of us agree that there is a "gene" there that causes us to be what we are. hence SOMEONE in our family ALSO was one before they passed away.

Xero was explaining earlier an awakening process, which those of us who ARE vampiric, have experienced at some point in our lives. It is common to experience it during puberty. That is all He was saying. {at least from what I caught} and that is true. At least for us it is.

Also, I agree, we are just as civilized an any other being on this planet, and they way the media portrays us is indeed sick. I guarantee you any one of us on here will agree with me on that.

I'm sorry you've had trouble over this in the past, that is a good reason why most of us are very quiet about ourselves. Because sadly, when my mom found out about it, she thought I had lost it and took me to a ******** shrink. >.<

Considering the topic, and subject of the conversation... I am sure the person is a fake, a wannabe (look back to subject) vamp. And i i 'doubted it' that the conversation was going to go much further. wich is why i suggested PM, to keep a flame war from happening in a support thread smile

Im simply subscribed to meet and maybe talk to some of the real vamps out there that were born into it, not simply wannabes that watched scifi or read twilight too much. We have interesting situations i'll tell you that much.

Your opinion is not fact, and frankly calling someone who I've known for a bit of time a fake, is really not a good idea. Especially with you coming in here and basically accusing all that drink blood of having renfield's syndrome. You can believe whatever you want, that doesn't mean you are right.

I've inherated the actual gene... one of few actually in my family to have true fangs. My gf likes'em, and has even told me she doesnt mind biting, though im holding off. partially due to the fact that i dont want to hurt her, and that i want to wait till she's a bit older, she also has it in her family history, though she is oblivious to it, and i havent mentioned it yet to her.

I try to be quiet about it, but my brother was born into it, and is a huge skeptic and says its all BS, and since i follow along with it, i get endless harassment from his friends, wich has often ended in physical confrontations, the first time was when i was 12 and someone pulled a knife on me and actually cut up my forearm saying that he didnt like 'posessed kids' and that i needed to die.

Gets old after awhile, and this said it was a support thread for people like me, though im yet to really get that far i suppose.

Well for starters. Mii is NOT a fake, and that is for sure. She probably said what she said because she was in a bad mood or something, I dunno. All I know is that she is not a fake. And I'm leaving it at that.

well the OP was going on about psyvamps, sanguins, and all that. wich sure is a group as well, but doesnt neccisarily make you vampire, wich i kept an open mind to as well. And yes, generally alot of people that make a huge deal about how they classify themselves in the 'vamp world' are fakes.

Those who are born into it, do generally take offense, and want to make a point against the media strewn versions of 'vampires' such as sanguin, psyvamps and such, are not actually apart of our culture, but sort of a fanbase of sorts for a more fantasy based role play. wich i believe someone commented earlier that most of the people here already knew that, so i gave him the affirmative on that, and kept talking with the people trying to discredit me.
