for some vampires i know, drinking there own blood is a mental thing to trick themselves into thinking they have fed... never worked for me though.


and by the by anyone here ever tried to have back up blood, and if so, does it do anything for you.

I'm chatting with a friend of mine who says her friend (whose cousin is in a nearby vampire coven) gave her a sort of "blood pill". She says it tasted horrible and didn't even really taste like blood but says the vampires there use it as a blood substitute. Anyone have any idea what this "blood substitute" might be? It sounds rather interesting, but she said it burned her throat and it still burns now.

Any ideas what it might be..?

Are they deer blood pills? They are terrible.

yea backup blood like from a blood back in a little pouch... i had some once and it just wasnt the same as fresh blood, and i was wondering if anyone else had that experience

I've heard of this sort of thing, but I have never tried it because honestly... it just doesn't seem "right" to me.

And as you said, it isn't the same as fresh blood.
My bf once asked me if I wanted him to store his blood up for me so that I can have at it at any time, and I wrinkled my nose at the thought of it and said "I'll pass, I prefer mine from the source, warm and fresh."

I have no idea. She just told me it tasted horrible and her throat burned for quite a while after taking it. That might've been it though. I wouldn't know, as far as I've known there's never been a such thing as blood of any kind in a pill form.

Yes but she's experimenting with some things. She thinks she might be starting to show some vampiric symptoms so she's trying to do some "self-exploration" to see whether it's true or not, and I'm just trying to help her along the way since she knows about me and knows 2 other vampires too so yea...

Thanx for the answers :] but still slightly curious about the more carnivorous ones in here, how exactly do you guys get your blood supplies? ^-^ since you can't really bite just anyone on the street like in the movies.
