Sounds like he's stylizing some kind of energy work or something. If he literally means that he's somehow coalesced his energy into a blood substitute then I'll believe it when I see it.

This thread made me laugh, but I really doubt that anyone is "born" suffering withdrawal symptoms from not drinking blood, therefore its like a fad. Someone probably read an Anne Rice book and was like "hmmm this would be fun I should try it!" so they did, and they are kind of sick, so they go through withdrawals without it.

I'm not a vampire, not even close really I'm a vegetarian ^-^ but I am curious and I have a few questions if you don't mind answering them. For instance for those of you who do call yourselves vampires, why do you think you crave blood? There must be some theories even if it's unbeknown by science.

I've also been trying to find out who my patron deity is, and i think i've found her.

story time!:

Earlier this Afternoon, i was researching the greek gods and looking into the Greek gods/dessess and Hellenismos because of a connection i recently started feeling with that path. (Recently as in the past year)

I got this idea to ask and see if they were the ones that wanted me, or if i had to look else where for my patron.

I settled down comfortably, and sttarting meditating on the issue. Not long after, i got a sense of someone watching me, and i broke the mediation and looked to my side. Standing next to my bed was a female figure, young to middle aged, either short hair or with it up atop her head, holding something in her hands, either a bowl or a helmet of some sort. It was silvery. She was draped in greek styled clothes, and she was shining faintly. She was also smiling at me.

I have to say i almost had a heart attack(even though i'm technically to young). xD

When i got over the shock, there was a sense of peace, then she began to fade until she was gone. I got no name, nor voice. Just that image of her.

Since then, I've been trying to figure out who she was, looking up all sorts of pictures and images of greek goddesses. I can't figure out which one it is though.
The ones that match her the most are Artemis and Athena. I just can't figure it out though...

I was wondering if anyone had any input on this? any advice? Anything would be helpful. =3

Also, found a temporary energy source! I no longer starve!
yay!
But she's only standing in temporarily of course.
My real source comes home in two weeks or so.*nods*

Hmmm...I say hold a ritual to summon her and talk to her. Gather lots of connect flowers and use candle you think might catch her interest. Meditate on her image in your circle, and ask her to come forth. If she does, then ask her what her name is. 3nodding

Some theories of vampirism, also depend on the variation or type.
A physical and biological nutritional need that is probably primal based, and genetic.
A physical cause such as a virus, disease, genetic mutation, etc.
Energy deficiency.
Broken or leaky chakras, or energetic body.
The nature of a non-human soul.

And I'm sure the list goes on.
