For the third time.

PROVE IT.

God, had to make it this big to have a chance of people seeing it and responding...

We didn't respond because we (well, I mostly) already said we can't. confused (I was waiting to see if someone else wanted to try)
Oh my, a new thread. This one doesn't seem to be going well, either.

Well you can't expect people to believe you if you have no proof besides "IT'S OKAY GAIZ, PPL ON TEH INTERWEBZ TTLY TOLD ME THEY WERE!"

Seriously, if you had actual proof, I'd believe you.

I don't really care whether or not people believe us. This thread is here because vampirism is as much a part of the lifestyles of the people involved as, say, BDSM is for the people who choose to live that way. It's not really about gaining acceptance, although that would be nice.

And I'm sorry, even if I had proof, it would be impossible to show it over the internet. The only possible way I could prove it to you would be, in the case of psychic vampirism, encourage you to look into energy and energetic experiments and draw your own conclusions.

One does not make a thread such as this with the intent of being believed by every person who comes across it. Most people are going to be against a thread like this; having made it is more of an attempt to educate and make people think about the possibilities of such people existing (without having a mental disorder). Plus, iKayako had the balls to make this thread knowing that people would be looking for proof that the community, for the most part, does not have.

Why do you need people to acknowledge your "lifestyle?" As bad as it sounds, you're all trying to be a bunch of romanticized leeches. Yes. Leeches. With powers.

You're basically asking people to acknowledge that they exist, whether you know it or not. We can't accept, nay, ACKNOWLEDGE something so ridiculous as "believe us because I think they exist."

No proof. Not very valid.
It's time to admit what you really are. People with imaginations gone wild.

iKayato, did you get my PM about the Donor's Bill of Rights? My Gaia is being glitchy again (stupid connection) so I don't know if it sent or not.

Phew *breaths a sigh of relief*
RuneOfRedWings

can you prove they were not vampires?

and if you believe in ghosts, ghouls and djinns are easily explained.

many other mythical creatures were modern identified animals mistaken by sailors for something more powerful and mystical. kind of how i see the vampire.

there was no mention of vampires until recently because we would have been prosecuted. i mean, look at what happened to pagans. if you ask anyone who's been in the subculture long enough though, and they will tell you we've been around for a while, teachings and whatnot passed down the line- we just feared for our lives and the lives of our families.
[********]

This is stupid.

Your argument of "can you prove that I am x" is one of the most self-defeating arguments I've ever seen. Your failure to prove that vampires exist and the inability to do so for COUNTLESS PAGES IN YOUR PREVIOUS THREAD only adds fuel to the fire. So your counter-argument is... "prove me wrong?" Because you have nothing? Is that what you do?

You can't prove that they exist, but because there is NO evidence we can all safely concur that they don't and that you are full of it.

Oh by the way. I'm a dinosaur in disguise - prove me wrong.

They don't need to acknowledge us. You can all ignore us if you want. But, this is the lifestyle discussion forum, and vampirism is part of the lives of the people involved. Thus, we have every right to have our own thread here in the LD. As I've said before, you don't have to believe us, you don't even have to like us, but you do, as per Gaia Online's rules, respect our decisions as individuals.

As for the rest, that's your opinion and your welcome to it.

Right. Forced approval, very clever. stare

We're not ignoring you. We are, in fact, challenging you and you are losing MISERABLY. Vampirism is a part of the lives of a small portion of people who somehow manage to let their imaginations get the better of them.

I remember reading somewhere about one of your ridiculous "energy techniques" or whatever you call them. Basically, it's exaggerated manipulation. What they do is talk to someone, piss them off, flatter them, whatever it is that floats their boat and boom. Some sort of power being used. You call this a power?

It isn't so much an argument as an acknowledgment of a standstill. Honey, this is the internet. We can't see or hear each other, and if we had proof we damn well couldn't show it.
We can't prove ourselves right, we know that. You can't prove us wrong, We know that and I really hope that you know that. Therefore, arguing is pointless since neither of us can win.

And no, simply because there is no evidence proving vampirism exists doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There isn't any evidence proving it doesn't exist, either. It's an unexplored field for the most part, and until evidence appears proving either way without a doubt, no one will know for sure.

How are we losing? You haven't put forth any evidence proving us wrong. You simply continue to yell and mock.

What you described isn't any kind of energy technique I've ever heard of. What you read was probably part of an example about latent vampires feeding. Basically the idea is that they seek to get a rise out of someone so they can absorb the energies that person gives off.
