I'm doing good. A little tired for the moment. I have been working about the house all day today and its really draining. Especially when those around you do a rather shitty job of 'cleaning house'.

And thanks for the welcome. It makes me feel good that you will welcome new faces to your topic like this.

~I like Nice people; Down right rude ones have spoiled blood. (jk jk)

Anyways, yeah, I think I have all I was going to say down. D= Sorry my brain isn't working properly today.

I know the feeling I've got bad hayfever and the medication makes me feel so darned sleepy. I hate doing housework too, but I still live with my parents so I've got no choice.

I'm always glad to see new face....unless its a troll lol.

So what brings you to the thread are you part of the comunity or a curious skeptic? Doesn't bother me either way smile
I think blood tastes fine but i don't crave it.... so does that mean I'm a vampire?
And XshahalX you could be right on that.

I dont care what people say I think that vampirism is real or at least its possible.
I mean I think maybe its more scientific then like mystical,

I'm waiting for the day scientists find a reason for the 'vampiric condition' for want of a better term. Only problem seems to be that no one is prepare to research it because to do so would invite ridicule from the rest of the scientific commuity I guess

Yeah thats true but I think maybe we can at least come up with solutions or something I think it just must be very possible when we are in our mothers we feed from blood, maybe its possible that before we are born we are all vampires but once we are born we turn different, and possibley some stay the same.

I was actually just surfing. I normally do not post on Gaia. I like to play the games and lurk in topics. This one really caught my interest. I Suppose now that I have a topic worth really posing in, I will start posting more often and I was actually planning on starting a web blog. -shrugs- That's if i can remember to update it.

I'm community, And I don't plan on letting others tell me that my ways are wrong. I suppose in Miss iKayko's terms I would be considered a Hybrid. I just thought it to be normal.

Quiet honestly, there aren't many vampires where I live. And the only other one I knew moved off about a year ago. -sighs-

Any other Questions?

Sounds a little like me lol, I'm just miffed that Gaia fishing has gone for repairs. I tend to lurk in tek-tek threads but like you, the original thread (no in the CB for some reason) caught my eye and I decided to stick around, then this thread was created when the old one got moved and I stuck around. I'm curious to know what the psi, sang or indeed psi-sang condition is like for other people. Yea I'm just trying to find others out there like me.

I'm a sang personally, and from the sounds of it hybrids (psion-sanguines) are more common along with psions with there being fewer and fewer Sanguines out there.

I know a fair number of vampires where I live, but here in the UK the community is so far underground its difficult to find others in real life. The UK isn't so accepting of the community as the USA is and that's peeving, most of the time meeting other vampires is purely by chance of by knowing one who knows others and then introduces them to you. What's crazy is people in the UK are more accepting of alternative sexualities (I'm meaning from the BDSM veiwpoint) than they are of alternative ways of life.

So whereabouts in the world are you and how long have you been aware of your psi-sang condition?....hmm awakened to your situation I suppose.
Vox_Draconis

Why should we let the thread die? We want to post here and have every reason to do so, we're trying to run this little thread as a support thread for the psis and sangs out there.

Post here like you did the other thread? Endless streams of crap interspersed with "don't troll" hysteria?

Quote:
So by your defintition, vampire bats and darwin finches are undead bats and undead birds because vampires have to be undead....

Vampires are undead. Desmodus rotundus, and related species, are bats to whom the term vampire-like is applied. Darwin finches are not called vampire finches.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't just redefine words. What you're saying is "we are like this undead creature, but we;re not undead" - as though you were calling yourselves ghouls, and yet humans; it just doesn't make any sense.

Quote:
Personally I use the terms sanguine and psion but not everyone does, sanguivore is another term in use but not many people like using it.

Good, that you use it. Perhaps you should encourage others to do the same - there must be some not wedded to the benefits of the myth.

Incidentally, if you want a laugh, check out VampireForum.net - the guy who runs it claims to be 2,000 years old.

And if this thread is not going to be a repository of backslapping nonsense like the last one, how about this?

I don't know whether you've seen Vampiric Studies but her reflections on the modern sanguinarian movement are interesting.

Well strangely .. I live in America. It must be the area I'm from, because like I said, The only other vampire I knew moved away about a year ago. Though at this time i'm a little confused what they accept here and what they do not. The government is so twisted up, I think its about to break in half.

-Fishing? ~♥ You are also waiting on the Fishing mini game to be put back up? That is cool! That one is one of my favorites aside from Pinball and Word Bump.

As for me? I know I sounded as if I was beating around the bush, its just those things where more interesting then about me. haha. jk jk.

Anyways, I have known about my psi-sang condition for several years. Maybe 6 to 7 by most. It actually started with me dabbling in things I shouldn't have been and found a rather interesting thing about it. My body actually needed it.

Strange huh?

I would have probably preferred to have been psi then sang. And even at times and now I try to change it. However, you are what you are, correct?

(It benefits me because energy is something that is all around us. Also energy something easily replenished.)
I am soooo glad someone can actually tell the truth finally. Finally someone takes it SERIOUSLY! Most people are completely idiotic about it. I firmly believe for .... uh several reasons and I still respect people who don't believe in them. Thanks for helping spread the word. And Vox_Draconis. If ya ever get this or read this message me. I'm sure we would have plenty to talk about.

The finches of the Galapagos are known as vampire finches (Geospiza difficilis septentrionalis), they feed off the blood of the other bird life on the island mainly the blue footed booby and the nazca.

I claim no similairity to the creature of folklore I am a human with an unexplained craving for blood. And thank you for actually being able to rebut my statement. I know that sounds odd, sorry about that.

Hence why i avoid most of the online vampire communities...Vampire Freaks was tollerable one upon a time.

I'm sorry, but no.

Drastically redefining "vampire" does not make one a vampire.

"Psychic vampires" is slang, more than anything else. Just an amusing term. Like "leech" or whatever.

Having a blood fetish doesn't make you a vampire. It means you have a blood fetish.

Vampires are the reanimated dead. Like zombies, only hot and with class. This has been so for decades. You can't suddenly decide "omg, I feed off other people's energies! instead of this making me a total a*****e, I've decided that it makes me a vampire! And because I've decided that I'm a vampire, that automatically makes me cool, because everyone loves vampires!"

No.

I mean, jezuz. Liking blood, being pale... none of this crap makes you a vampire, and it never has done.

Look at me. I'm a witch, a Pagan and a goth. I hate summer, I dislike bright sunlight, I stay in the shade whenever possible. I burn easily, I like blood, and I like my steak rare. I prefer night to day and am often more active after the sun sets.

I am NOT a vampire. I am a human.

Ways to tell that you are not actually a vampire:

a) Are you breathing? Do you have a pulse? Then you are ALIVE and thus not a vampire.
b) Are you below 20? No vampire would ever turn you into a vampire, because you are a teenager. Vampires have class. Duh.
c) Are you still ageing? Then you are ALIVE and thus not a vampire.
d) Are you in school? (I mock you.) Then you are a teenager, and ageing. Refer to points B and C.

(PLEASE NOTE: Drastically redefining the word "vampire" DOES NOT make you a vampire. It makes you a damn wanker, and anyone who values language will beat you to death with a dictionary.)

e) Can you be beaten to death with a dictionary? If so, you are ALIVE (but not for long) and therefore not a vampire.
f) Have you just been beaten to death with a dictionary? If so, you are DEAD, but as you have not been killed by exsanguination via a vampire sucking out your vital fluids, you are not a vampire. EPIC FAILZ.

Interesting facts!

Rabies doesn't make you a vampire.
Being aenemic (and craving things like bloody steak that have lots of iron) does not make you a vampire.
Placebo or psychological effects caused by thinking you are a vampire and going through withdrawal does not make you a vampire.

I like vampires. For this reason, I really dislike it when the term is misused. Such as in this case.

Thank you and goodnight.

Haha I like pinball and word bump too lol.

Ouch, as harsh as it sounds I've given up on trying to understand how the US government works, then again I don't really have a head for politics.

I wouldn't say strange necessarily as different people have different ideas of what strange is, my 'awakening' for want of a better word was triggered when I was bundled off to boarding school at the age of 10, i'm now 22. If you don't mind me asking how old are you, I realise its a personal question and you don't have to answer if you don't wish to.

Aye you are indeed what you are. I've tried to move on to psi from sang but it will never be, I am a sanguine, not a psion, not a hybrid... and a sanguine I will remain *sighs*
