Welcome to Gaia's forums, where millions of members gather to discuss random stuff, make new friends,
complain about life, argue about nothing, laugh at dumb pictures, discuss serious issues and/or curse like sailors.

Lurking is creepy. Quit skulking in the shadows and join the conversation!

On that note, might I add that I started reading Anne Rice after I discovered I was a vampire. And why should I be judged for it? I shouldn't that's right.....*get's defensive*

I read the Anne Rice novels too from time to time, I think they're good books. What I was meaning was commenting about the number of comments we get hurled in our direction along the lines of 'put the anne rice books down and step back to reality.' I didn't mean to cause offence so I'm sorry if I did.

Actually, most of the real vampires I know are in thier 30's or more. I'm 54.

This is true.
Probably because most of the younger ones 'fall off' the band wagon after they realize what they really are, and aren't. Grow up, have families "forget" what they thought they were.
Real vampires can't forget. It's an on going thing. It's who they are. What they are.

Not that I disagree with you, but please speak for your self....it's just a nit-pick of mine.

Alo alo. Been lurking, but there's never anything to say. . . I feel so useless, and siding with "skeptics" seems like such a waste of time because they're all daft and/or childish. gonk

Nothing wrong with lurking hun *huggles*

But it's like they expect me to read chicken soup for the vampire soul and a bunch of ancient tomes and stuff.

Actually, most skeptics who confront me sound more delusional than they think I am. neutral

Nothing wrong with lurking, sure, but, I miss being part of conversations. It's much too structured for me to add anything discussion worthy.

I feel the same way as Albie. D: I feel like I can't add anything to the conversation anymore.

Aye true. The old thread saw more than its fair share of 'delusional skeptics' so much so it got moved to the CB and we (i'm meaning the old thread regulars from that thread) adandoned it.

You do really well at keeping sources listed on the first post though smile

I actually enjoyed the other thread more. It allowed for more room to discuss more things -- now the first post gives all these definite answers, so asking anything, even with a slight variation, would be . . . redundant? Might not be the right wording, but. . .

I think I am a good skeptic-not-skeptic. And I was around on the other thread since forever~

I really like this podcast. You guys should take a look.

www.shadowdancepodcast.com

It's done by two very informative people.

If you've heard of Michelle Belanger, she is a host on this podcast as well.

I read Anne Rice books when I turned. . . 14? 15? something like that. But I am not a vampire and. . . not 14 or 15. gonk Now.

so is this why your a slayer now alby? xp

yeh im lurking too, but most of the time i dont think i can or should reply because iv already argued the same points so many times, its really frustrating and my family is known for having poor heart conditions. gonk

Well, I haven't updated you because A.) This thread seems like it'd be the wrong place to do so with the structure and B.) She hasn't said anything worth saying anyway.

I told her to cut the crap, basically, and that even if she were a vampire no slayer in his or her right mind would go after her for being so damned deranged (I mean, the FBI is made out of vampires?) and she dropped contact. D;

And nah, that's not why I am a slayer now. In fact, Armand and I are homies.

I wish the first post was my doing. D: I've not got the time to put together something so lengthy.

All I do is read non-fiction vampire books and post reviews.
