Welcome to Gaia! ::

I met a guy once who claimed he was a Lycan and also able to remove and consume people's energy.

I was like "Um... okay then." I didn't want to offend him, although I didn't really believe it.

So he decided to try to feed on some of my energy. He made me sit in a "meditating" pose, remove my jewelry (saying the silver would burn him) and basically stared at me for a bit, then motioned like he was taking something off my open hands.

Then he put what he said was a ball of energy against his chest, i guess to absorb it. I was told that I would feel weak, lightheaded, a little strange, etc. But not to worry, the energy would regenerate.

And guess what?

I felt 100% normal.

I just said "Oh, yeah, wow, that's cool." Then got farrrr away from the kid.

So I guess that makes me a polite skeptic.

Well, the fact that she's not kissing the OP's feet in this thread is proof that she has a nice, strong bullshit detector.

I'm just surprised by her reaction really, because most pagans accept or at atleast acknowledge the concept of energy working and energy manipulation in most cases within spellwork and ritual, psi vampirism is a form of energy manipulation, its taking energy from one place and putting it in another in this instance within the energy field of the psi vampire.

You can't technically consume energy.... =S

You can consume food, which changes to chemical energy because it was a form of potential energy....

But whatever...

Vampires= Reanimated dead, that's how it's been since "vampires" were first though up by unfortunate anemics and people who so happened to catch rabies.

All you did was change your meaning to make your little "fantasy" seem like a lifestyle.

Another interesting point would be that "psivamps" do not "consume" energies, but just get their adrenaline pumped when around energetic people and people doing activities such as dancing, running, ectect... I get excited when around dancing people or people having a good time, most people do. Doesn't make me a "psivamp" or any of the other people.

And those who are "sang" or whatnot are more-than-likely experiencing a placebo effect.
And drinking another person's blood is very unhealthy, therefore dangerous to do... which is probably where the thrill really comes from.

As I've said to others, prove it.
As far as the consume thing goes, well, I guess it's more absorbing than consuming, but eh.

Ho'kay, the absorbing I think is a little more rational...~ =D
I can't imagine a baby gnawing on blue orbs of energy..... ~cough~

And, prove what? xD

i can.

and it's adorable.

nomnomnom...

Hey Rune,

(sorry i haven't confirmed your friend request on IMVU yet, my comp is being stupid and not running it)
I feel the need to say this again

a Human who drinks blood IS technically called a vampire.... that doesn't mean they are the supernatural type though....

and also, the folklore about vampire's hjave been around for centuries.

and pro-vamp peoples, sto changing your idea's/words to adapt to the skepticism. you're changing things everytime someone point's out a flaw.

That's pretty much what we're already saying, it just seems to fall on deaf ears most of the time. *sighs* Didn't you pop up in the old discussion thread?

well, at least you're polite about it.
and the side effects he mentioned are only sometimes. if the feeder is experienced or you're not a typically lethargic person, you're really not going to feel anything. anyone i feed off of just gets the slight munchies afterwards.(i bring cookies.)

not everyone does that.

i just have a lot of theories, personally. i like to look at all sides of the d-20. i used to be the world's biggest vampirism skeptic, even after i started experiencing blood cravings.

Oh, I must be blind where have the ideas/words been changed. I don't mean to sound dense or sound like I'm trying to take the mick. I'm just a tad on the tired side and my brain aint functioning on full throttle so to speak....gawd darned hayfever medication.

He probably means my post but I still do consider myself a semi skeptic anyway so eh.
If a supposed "psi vamp" were to feed on me, and i actually felt a difference, i would be convinced they exist. and since there's no proof that they do exist.....
