Ho'kay, the absorbing I think is a little more rational...~ =D
I can't imagine a baby gnawing on blue orbs of energy..... ~cough~

And, prove what? xD

That's an...interesting mental image. O-O
Well, you said a bunch of things regarding how vampires 'really' work, so I asked you to prove it. It's kind of a gripe of mine. I know that, since we're on the internet, neither side can really prove that vampires (our definition, anyways, I'm fairly sure the normal definition doesn't exist) do or don't exist, so I don't like it when people claim either way. I even get annoyed when vampires try to throw proof around.
Exactly. And since you cannot prove me wrong and I can't prove you wrong this thread is just spam and flames waiting to happen. Debate over. you said it yourself.

Not quite. :/ This thread functions both as a support thread for self-identifying vampires and as a reference source for information on the subject.
You're welcome to leave, though. No sense hanging with us craaaazies now, is there.
There is nothing to support if you cannot prove your resources liable.

~cough~
Just guessing here, but I think by support...
she meant similar to... Abuse support?

I'm sorry, but no.

Drastically redefining "vampire" does not make one a vampire.

"Psychic vampires" is slang, more than anything else. Just an amusing term. Like "leech" or whatever.

Having a blood fetish doesn't make you a vampire. It means you have a blood fetish.

Vampires are the reanimated dead. Like zombies, only hot and with class. This has been so for decades. You can't suddenly decide "omg, I feed off other people's energies! instead of this making me a total a*****e, I've decided that it makes me a vampire! And because I've decided that I'm a vampire, that automatically makes me cool, because everyone loves vampires!"

No.

I mean, jezuz. Liking blood, being pale... none of this crap makes you a vampire, and it never has done.

Look at me. I'm a witch, a Pagan and a goth. I hate summer, I dislike bright sunlight, I stay in the shade whenever possible. I burn easily, I like blood, and I like my steak rare. I prefer night to day and am often more active after the sun sets.

I am NOT a vampire. I am a human.

Ways to tell that you are not actually a vampire:

a) Are you breathing? Do you have a pulse? Then you are ALIVE and thus not a vampire.
b) Are you below 20? No vampire would ever turn you into a vampire, because you are a teenager. Vampires have class. Duh.
c) Are you still ageing? Then you are ALIVE and thus not a vampire.
d) Are you in school? (I mock you.) Then you are a teenager, and ageing. Refer to points B and C.

(PLEASE NOTE: Drastically redefining the word "vampire" DOES NOT make you a vampire. It makes you a damn wanker, and anyone who values language will beat you to death with a dictionary.)

e) Can you be beaten to death with a dictionary? If so, you are ALIVE (but not for long) and therefore not a vampire.
f) Have you just been beaten to death with a dictionary? If so, you are DEAD, but as you have not been killed by exsanguination via a vampire sucking out your vital fluids, you are not a vampire. EPIC FAILZ.

Interesting facts!

Rabies doesn't make you a vampire.
Being aenemic (and craving things like bloody steak that have lots of iron) does not make you a vampire.
Placebo or psychological effects caused by thinking you are a vampire and going through withdrawal does not make you a vampire.

I like vampires. For this reason, I really dislike it when the term is misused. Such as in this case.

Thank you and goodnight.

haha^^sorry, this just made me laugh ''can you be beaten to death with a dictionary?' but you do have a point in the midst of all of that funniness.

Ive looked up consumption of blood, since im going for my RN in terminal medicine, i wondered if these people could hurt themselves by doing this.

And IF the blood is tested, and disese free, i cant find where its harmful.
Sure, blood has a small amount of waste and we lose some-odd pints daily with waste in it, but taking it from the veins, with meniscule waste - - its fine.

How so is it harmful?

Just jumping in for a second~ Whatever it was my dad read/watched (I think he said it was a documentary about a tribe in Africa that drinks blood), it said that consuming blood can clog your arteries easily because of it's properties.

Sorry to also jump in.
Eating too much black pudding can do the same (sorry its made of blood so I had to mention it).

You'll find most sangs take about an eggcup's worth at most and that can sustain them for a good week or so. Some sangs dilute blood down in milk or red wine as well to disguise the taste.

Oh god, black pudding *_*
My boyfriend is English, and his mum made it for him the other weekend..

((back to topic))

Ahh, okay, so consuming in small amounts, e.g eggcups, are more common?
On a documentary, this guy was just drinking glass after glass of 'blood' >_>

Yeah, I realize that it is a pretty...
Interesting... Mental image to say the least...
I was with a baby all weekend, so yeah... And he's at his teething phase so he's gnawing on everything.

But, I'm only saying that they aren't technically vampires, but reading over the OP, she says that the term vampire just sorta stuck.

Yep, and that's true. (BTW, I'm the OP. xD) I wish I could do something to stop all of the confusion, but the community chose 'vampire' as the blanket term so naming the thread anything else would've been just a little weird. That's why I stuck the word 'human' up there, figured maybe it'd at least help.

I thought so.. xD
When I'm typing I usually just blank on names and bahbah... I'm weird like that. *not mental image

Try vumanes? Haha xD

There is nothing to support if you cannot prove your resources liable.

My resources are relevant to the ideas of vampirism presented here, and that's enough. Sure, vampirism might not yet be rooted in fact, but there are still self-identifying vampires who deserve support for their lifestyles just like any other lifestyle in this forum. You don't have to agree with us or even like us, but you do have to respect our decisions.
If you don't like it, I believe there's an anti-vamp thread in the LD somewhere.

Dude, you're saying neither side can prove the existance or absence of vampires - well a lot of things cant be proved or disproved - - like religion. it doesnt mean end of conversation.

You can leave if you want, its your choice.

I admit to liking black pudding *blushes*

Aye smaller amounts are more common, the equivalent to teaspoon's worth can keep me going for about a week if you'll excuse the phrasing. Some sangs use lancets to extract blood from their donors, using a lancet (what diabetics use to p***k themselves to test their blood) will produce a few drops of blood, sometimes that is all the sang needs.

At least it wasn't lesbian vampires this time. I read a story about that not too long ago. Why does it always have to be vampires? I wish they'd pick turtles, or something else.

You're one of those people always thinking the different must be in a cult of something.

Most recent one I read was about a Romainian woman who tried to murder her boyfriend with a pick axe to 'drink his blood' so she's automatically labeled a vampire......have to find where that article went.

Well some people that are disturbed to the point of murder truly think they're vampires...
So the media milks their insanity for buyers, i mean when i see a murder massacre and it says in big bold print they think they're vampires, i will read it before any other aricle =/

I cant count how many news stories ive read about murders, and the kids thinking they're 2000 year old vampires..but its just not relevant to this discussion, so i dont see where she thinks it is.

' oh look, THESE people claimed to be vampires and were psycho killers, therefore, all of you are! '

Yeah, thats what i thought when she posted that link x333
