I've never heard of sparkling vampires though. So maybe just a little?

Why do think I didn't mention it, it is the only thing in the books that is original, to a degree.
Well, my ignorance isn't exactly evidence. I'm sure vampires that react awkwardly to the sun have existed prior. I know of a few that weren't even effected.

I don't that much about Vampire mythology, much like Meyer claims, but at least with my knowledge Vampires are supposed to burn in the sun, making them glow in the sunlight is just stupid as she makes the Vampires in her story practically invincible.

They can openly be killed, but I do think that I actually prefer the vampire that can withstand sunlight to the one that cannot. It makes no sense that suddenly being dead instantly makes your enemy the sun, when I am almost positive no other undead creature suffers from this problem. Vampires are not demons therefore reactions to UV situations seems more or less unreasonable unless we were...

Oh, sorry.

ur using very silly ideas 2 portray that she is unoriginal she didnt steal werewolves from harry potter itd be similar 2 saying someone else who wrote a book about wizards stole it from harry potter its a stupid point 2 make since werewolves and wizards were around before harry potter and using them wouldnt mean she stole them from harry potter
i see very little similarities in new moon and romeo and juliet maybe u can exlain it better cuz im not seeing it

Have you read Romeo and Juliet or at least seen a film adaptation, you will understand when I say that, in Romeo and Juliet it is the fate the befalls both Romeo and Juliet that is the key similarity. In Twilight the same fate almost befalls Bella and Edward. In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet pretends to kill herself to draw Romeo out of hiding, or exile or something. Romeo finds out, and thinks, Juliet has killed herself and goes to her tomb to kill himself over her body, with poison. Juliet wakes up from her death like state and sees what Romeo has done. She takes up a dagger and stabs herself as neither wants to live without the other.
This is the case in Twilight, Edward thinks Bella has killed herself and in turn wants to die, he goes to the Volturi and asks them to end his life but because they won't he has to find another way. Bella stops him, but if she hadn't stopped him and he had stepped into the sunlght to get himself killed for exposing the Vampire world, Bella probably would have asked if the Volturi could kill her to. But as it is neither end up dead, so that is where the similarity ends.

Oh, sorry.

Are you sorry because you went off topic, if so you are forgiven it is easy to do when engaging in remotely intelligent conversation.

Who cares if it's original? Original doesn't really mean anything.

"There are worse things in life than serving the whims of a deadly sex goddess."
You've gotten it wrong. Twilight is the originalish but crap one. Eragon is the unoriginal and still crap one.

people dont hate Twilight just because its unoriginal teeny bopper garbage....

we also hate it because it further feminizes beloved mythical creatures.
Its basically brainless romance novel dreck...

the only people who do like it love it so much is because most of them have no excitment in their own lives.
thus the fanbase. tweens, teens, married ladies, lonely single ladies, fat people, emo dorks, fantasy enthusiasts....etc

people with no lives.

Stolen from harry potter? Harry ******** potter? Are you serious? You are talking about the story of wizards, ogres, witches, and other creatures that is totally ripped off from other good literature of the past? About the only thing original about harry potter is a wizard with a lame a** name like harry.

Most things are not original in this world, but at least do not use a POS piece of literary garbage made for elementary school readers with lame a** characters to go after it. Just stop mentioning Harry Potter as original and good. It is a pop up book without the pictures.

Aro and his shield, Renata, taken from Egyptian Mythlogy where the king is always represented with Ma'at behind him.
This is the exact same stance Aro takes with Renata, she is close to him, her hand on his shoulder, if you look at the artwork from Ancient Egypt you will see this imagery used with the Pharaoh. Really?

http://www.culturefocus.com/egypt/pictures/valley-of-kings-36small.jpg

That is the image I am referring to, except in this image the Pharaoh is replaced by Ra, but Ma'at is still there with her hand on the shoulder. This is how Renata is portrayed in Breaking Dawn with her hand on Aro's shoulder. Aro also being the direct leader of the Volturi.

You clearly don't like Harry Potter. I don't care that is your choice. But it is merely a reference and the only one that I can think of at the time. It may not be correct though, there are other more suitable ones I could've used but didn't cause I didn't think of them at the time.

are you 13?

No I am 20, I am also a male so criticise me if you want, I don't care. I don't read much, or see many movies, that is why my reference base is so limited the only thing I run off is my general knowledge of various things.
