@Morgan: Don't get me wrong. It's a good idea if that's what you want. I just can't see spending that much money on something like that.

My children will be the world to me. But I just can't see spending $1,000 dollars on a crib that the baby is only going to use for a bit. Now I can see if it's one of the convertible cribs. I guess I feel the way I do because I came from a family that only lived on about $15,000 a year and there were four of us in the house. We never went without but we didn't have anything lavish either.

I spent like 5k in total between him being itty bitty and now with the toddler bed and toddler what nots.
I just don't see why you should spend that much on your kid unless their like 10 and going to keep their room like that til they leave for college.
Even then I don't think I'd spend more than 10k with electronics and what not.
It's just ridiculous.

we make about 200$ extra a month and thats about it and by extra I mean not on bills, that doesn't include grocerys

If I ever win the lottery, I'm paying back EVERYONE that ever helped me, every single person and places like Joseph's Coat that once a week lets you come in and get 1 paper grocery bag full of anything and everything they've got for absolutely free. And the teen center that holds my parenting group (that poor building is so run down!!) And the teen mom's school I graduated from. Every single person that let me stay at their place for a while, even when things didn't go so well.

Geez, I wish I had that kind of money in a year. We're on welfare, and since Evan didn't get the papers in on time we won't get our money this month... reimbursed in december, but not until after he possibly loses his phone and we probably lose everything in both our storage spaces....
I got most of Kiernan's stuff for free. In fact, almost ALL of it.

That's terrible.
Me and Scott are in debt because I have medical bills and credit bills and he has school bills and unpaid bills he just got lazy with.

I think my debt is like 2k which isn't much but with the baby coming I'm a mess.
And Scott's debt is like 7k.

Thank god one day the house we live in will be ours.
We rent the first floor apartment in a house his mom owns.
And we she passes away (not that we wish that) the house is going to be given to us.
