Yes. I never had this much trouble with Nightmare in any of the other SC games I've played before. If he gets one hit in, you're pretty much screwed, because you won't have much time to get back up if he's got you to the ground.
Yet I'm also playing styles I'm not familiar with, so I guess that's why I've having some trouble, but I still think the AI in SCV are cheap in general anyway.
..isn't Astaroth still the heaviest hitter? Literally 3 hits from Astaroth, and you're dead.

he always has been unless you know a way to get around his attacks

Yeah but Nightmare still has combos and stances that work together so well that his openings are nearly non-existant. Whereas Astaroth just hits hard.

Ah, I'm sure I can still find a way to just overpower Nightmare (I'm an astaroth player).

That side, does Nightmare have a different fighting style or something?

I think he just has a few different things that Seigfried can't do and vice versa... Not sure.
I prefer Siegfred/Soul Calibur I-III Nightmare, they have multiple stances and branches off into a variety of attacks which can be chained into other stances similar to Xiaxuana's(sp?) stupidly large amounts of mix-up capabilities.
OP as in Over Played? Because indeed, I think so as well.

He's always been an OP character for noobs.
ℜinny says: His critical edge is. It sometimes hits a little more than 3/4 of your health. neutral
He was my secondary in SCII and I liked him a lot. My only gripe was that he was an "evil" character.
Cassandra, Sophia, and Talim tied for my third slot.
he is not so bad if u can get inside his range before he strikes
Nightmare isn't overpowered, he is only dangerous if you let his combos go up.

I find it funny that people complain that i use grapple and range attacks too much when using Ivy. they need to learn how to duck and move to the side to avoid those attacks. wink
I'd prefer to play people who use Siegfried/Nightmare compared to Devil Jin/Harada Tekken. I could see that spammed and annoying after awhile.
