Soul Calibur 5: Nightmare is OP?

I only started playing at IV, so he wasn't too bad. Sure, his attacks hurt, but they were slow.

I can't say anything about V, since I don't own it but in all the other games he always felt a bit OP. Sure he was slow, but when his attacks actually hit. Holy s**t. There goes half my bar. Talim is my personal favourite, and speed usually beats brute strength..at least most of the time it is. Not sure what V is like though. D:

I think he is even though he slow with his attacks but it really hits your health bar after you suffer a really bad hit from him....
Ivy is my favorite though shes hard to fight with sometimes xp

Siegfried and Nightmare have always been powerhouse characters- slow, but with powerful attacks that have pretty good range.

Exactly! See, you had a good chance whenever you got close, because you could usually beat him to the punch. His attacks would knock the s**t out of you, but at least you had a better chance taking the fight to him.

He hit me with combos faster than I could move with Pyrrha's style on the normal difficulty as the last boss in the arcade mode, and he beat me down with each one because they were so powerful.

Might just be me, I dunno. I'm in no way a champ at SCV, but I can hold my own against some of the tougher NPCs. I'd get owned in multiplayer though. xD

I just got the Collector's Edition of Soul Calibur V a few hours ago. Nightmare and Pyrrha (when she has Soul Edge) were huge problems for me. I'd be doing fine against everyone and then they show up and as soon as they get one attack in, I'm dead. My favorite characters are Ezio, Aeon, and Ryspett (my creation ((Soul of Nightmare // Full CE Evil Armor)) ).

This pretty much from what I can recall Nightmare has always was always a tough opponent him and Ivy.

I usually use Ivy or Cassandra but since she's not there and I'm not in the Ivy mood, I'm using Pyhrra (usually her Omega form but I am good with her non Omega form too) . I really like Pyrrha . She appologizes far too much for someone that does groin kicks but she's still really good and I'm awesome with her.

Nightmare's beastly though he can get me pretty quick, it's funny since I used Kamikirimusi in 4 and she has his moveset and if I use him I can kick a** since I know it but yeah.

currently play on emlysian (i beleiev thats how you say it)... Yea she's pretty.. AMAZING. She has all the characters i'm good at in one biggrin
