I have to say, I just watched the 4th movie, and I have to say it was the best. The only reason the first one was loved so much was because it was original at the time, and the sequels just followed it, but that's what they're supposed to do. The 3rd one was lame, the 2nd one was meh but I like how the 4th one addressed itself as a movie of controversy over most horror movies, kind of like breaking the 4th wall, if you're familiar with that term.

The first one was a classic. I haven't watched the 4th one yet. The 2 and 3 were meh.

It's definitely a great series, I love how its kind of scary on its own but then it has the poking fun at itself factor as well

I didn't like the ending of the 4th one, they should have stopped it at a certain point and let the bad guy (girl) win, that would have been cool, she didn't have to be so irrational though, I think some rationality would have made her more sick and twisted, rather than just plain psychotic. Too much talking too, for someone who's brain is about to shut down.
