omgz!! NOBODY plays viola in my town.... and most people don't even know what it is! i've been playing for 12 years... i also play electric & acoustic guitar and violin. and those are only the stringed instruments! mrgreen

I feel the same way. I mean there's people I know who play it, but whenever I'm talking to maybe a neighbor or something, they're like, What's a viola?
I'm like, well, er...it's kinda like a big violin with different strings and it's lower...
I've actually had a few people ask if I was carrying a cello... sweatdrop

Viola= 4 years
Violin= That's kinda been on and off, but I'm trying to take it more seriously now that I'm really considering being a music teacher.

I would love to learn Cello and possibly Bass. Also Piano.

I don't play any string instruments; but if I did, I'd play the viola.

Just as a note, the piano is a percussion instrument.

I've been playing violin for... from primary 3 till now(I'm form 5)^^
Since I'm pretty lazy and lack of practice, I just passed the grade 8 last year in October.
I also played the piano when I was in primary 5 but I wanted to focus on the violin,
so I stopped playing it after I passed the grade 5 the next year.
I wanted to play guitar and cello too xd

Hmmm, I used to play the viola and violin. I still play around with my violin sometimes. And I think a piano is considered a stringed instrument.

I play the clarinet/bass clarinet now though, so I guess that doesn't count..>.>
