That's because that's not what happened. What actually happened was that Sasuke reversed Orochimaru's ritual and instead of Orochimaru assimilating Sasuke's soul, Sasuke assimilated Orochimaru's soul meaning that Orochimaru's soul was trapped inside Sasuke's body in a dormant state and Sasuke was usurping Orochimaru's chakra in a manner that boosted his abilities much like how the Kyuubi helps Naruto. Later on, Itachi would use the Totsuka sword to seal Orochimaru's soul out of Sasuke's body and trap in an inescapable genjutsu prison for the rest of eternity. It is also interesting to note that Itachi's act also rid Sasuke of the Curse Seal as well.

Also Orochimaru isn't a *****. Old joke is old. All he is power-hungry who desires to live as long as possible. Human beings are no longer objects of sexual gratification anymore. They are tools for self-preservation and self-improvement. It makes perfect sense for Orochimaru to want a younger body in order to contain his soul.

It is also amusing how in the first half of the first series before he gets his arms sealed off by the Third Hokage, Orochimaru was actually inside the body of a young woman. As you can plainly see from this case as well as the case involving Anko, gender means nothing. It is all about power and usefulness.
