Welcome to Gaia! ::

1. Panik
2. Hip-hop/rock; according to wiki it's nu-metal. Just think Linkin Park, but in German, and more talented.
3. Well, they were discovered in 2006 as Nevada Tan. Cue year of musical success. But then they split with their managing team, who had copyrighted the name 'Nevada Tan', and therefore became Panik. They released a self-titled album in September, and it's bloody AMAZING, but I guess the band couldn't cope with anything anymore, and four of six members quit. They used to consist of:
Timo Sonnenschein, MC; David Bonk, guitar & piano; Frank Ziegler, vocals; Christian Linke, bass; Jan Werner, DJ; and Juri Schewe, drums.
Now, they are: Timo Sonnenschein, vocals; David Bonk, guitar, bass & piano; computer, everything else.
4. Recommended songs: Kinder, a gripping song about s**t in the world; Unsere Zeit, a passionate, optimistic song about how their time will come, that all the s**t will be worth it; Was Würdest Du Tun?, a provocative song about not letting your life slip away; Keiner Merkt Es, a German translation of a song Linke (former bassist) wrote in English, about feeling alone.

I won't recommend anything from their first album as Nevada Tan, just because I have a feeling that they were made to write/perform some songs on there and it's not really them – it's a manipulated version of them.

Overall, I highly recommend this band's lyrics. If you don't speak German, definitely find an English translation. Timo has such an amazing talent with words, and this band is just so unbelievably talented that they deserve everything the music business has to offer and more. But I feel like they've drawn the short end of the stick, everything's gone downhill for them.

1. Artist/Group Name: BoA

2. Type of music/Genre: Please elaborate on this, some people may not understand the name of the genre. (Visual kei is not a music GENRE): Pop

3. Summary of the band: Member names and positions, because some people care about that. Again, what type of band they are. (You can put visual kei here): BoA is BoA: she has been singing since she was 11 or 13, I'll edit this post with correct info.

4. Recommended songs: Please tell why you have recommend that song, and a general review of the song.: Soundscape. Soundscape refers to "escaping for sound". Translation: how people escape lifes problems with music. In this song, the case is lonliness. It sounds beautiful, and has a beautiful meaning.

Jrock isn't a genre stare Its a stereotypical label.
If I were to pick a genre for them it would be somewhere in between rock/pop/metal
Just from what Ive heard of them. don't really like them much but Taion is an amazing song. And Filth in the beauty is good too.
Some bands I would recommend are...

SADS: They're from Japan, but they debuted in the U.K. to avoid being labeled as Japanese rock, or Jrock stare The music is punk IMO some people like to say grunge, but w/e
Song recommendations: Strawberry, Nightmare, Masquerade, Liar, Sherry, Boukyaku no sora, Hello, Porno Star, and Finale. They disbanded, but just recently reunited in 09 I believe and are working on a new album.
SADS Myspace

KUROYUME: Same singer as SADS (Kiyoharu) but Kuroyume came out first. Genre wise I'd say its Rock, pop, punk? I'm not really sure how to label them lol
Song recommendations: Mind breaker, Drug people, Beams, See you, Ice my life, Masturbating smile, Bloody valentine, Maria, For Dear, Miss Moonlight, Like @ Angel.
They also just recently reunited and are working on a new album.
KUROYUME Myspace

I have a fan page where you can listen to songs by both bands, Including some of Kiyoharu's Solo stuff as well. 3nodding
Fan Page

BUCK-TICK: One of the best bands to come from Japan IMO, with over 20 yrs in the music business. They're definitely veterans of Japans rock scene. Also cited as one of the founders of the Visual Kei movement Along with X Japan and Luna Sea. You cant label them with any Genre because they've cover it all from Pop, goth, rock, and Industrial. They have never released a bad album IMO, and their material never gets boring or monotonous.
Song recommendations: Everything, lol. No...umm. Romance, Kagerou, Dress, Candy, Misshitsu, mienai mono wo miyou to suru gokai subete gokai da, Love Letter, Gessekai, In Heaven, Zangai, Sasayaki, Miu, Dokudanjou Beauty, Empty Girl, Just one more kiss, Genzai, muma- the nightmare, Iconoclasm, etc...
I also highly recommend searching their LIVE shows on Youtube. You wont regret it wink

Hmm.... I'm just going to name some popular bands that a lot of people tend to like right away. Try:
DELUHI
Ayabie
Kagrra,
Irokui.
12012
vistlip
LM.C
THE KIDDIE
Karasu [somehow I have a feeling you'll like them a lot]

And a few that I'm not sure if you'll like, but are worth a shot:
-OZ-
Golden Bomber
己龍 [Kiryu]
Chariots

暁の空 何も 怖くはない
Pretty well-known, I think, but I just figured LM.C isn't even on the Japanese bands list! (Or I need to get new contacts...)
SO I hereby recommend to all of you: LM.C

Type of music/Genre: Wikipedia describes it as "a hybrid of rock and electronic pop"
The band members themselves call it New Century Electrock.
3. Summary of the band: LM.C consists of two main members, Maya on vocals and Aiji on guitar (though it sometimes switches, whenever they feel like it). Besides that they always have a support band for their tour and to create albums with of course. Their support band this year is Ken on bass, Yuya on drums, Jun on keyboard and the DENKI-MAN for mixing.
4. Recommended songs: I'd recommend Bell the CAT and JOKER -my name is- if you like the rock-side. If you're into electronic and happy sounds then I'd recommend JOHN. Besides those three, I'd like to recommend some new ones, GHOST HEART for the video (put it at the bottom of the post ^^) and PUNKY HEART because it's upbeat and makes you feel happy no matter what.
Hmm.. There's also this song ...With VAMPIRE, that is only on the single for 88, but it's a very good song. A bit weird, but Maya's vocals are great!

You can also listen to their new album on their myspace!! : )

So I'm just going to be blunt and ask if anyone knows any j-pop bands that sound like Buono!
Everytime I google it I always get other Hello Project! bands and I've already downloaded a bunch of songs from those.
C-ute is okay, but the super candy j-Pop that Buono! sings is my fave forever.
So can anyone else suggest bands that compare closely to it?

I'll post the actual form below this just incase.

Take it Easy! is a song that warms the heart, the music video is about wonderful friends, sun filled days and having fun wherever you are.

A more upbeat type song, reminds you of racing around the city on your scooter. Still has very cute lyrics and bridge.
