BECCA is a singer I like.
I don't know the genre but I think she's either Pop of Rock.
Some of my favorite songs by her are:
Love or Leave
Guilty Pleasure
I'm ALIVE
Turn Up the Stereo
I have two "international" artists to suggest.

First:
1. Artist/Group Name: Émilie Simon
2. Type of music/Genre: Electronic
3. Summary of the band: Just one person obviously, Émilie Simon. She's a French singer and composer of electronic music. Her first album received critical acclaim, and she's recently released a few albums in the United States.
4. Recommended songs:
Desert - one of her most popular songs. Slow and sort of eerie. Has a French and English version.
Fleur de Saison - another popular song. More fast-paced and rock-oriented. Only in French.
Opium - Simple but quite emotional song. Only in French.
Dame de Lotus - Has a unique, oriental sound. Only in French.
Flowers - Pretty popular. Cute and catchy. Only in English, I think.

Second:
1. Artist/Group Name: Shing02
2. Type of music/Genre: Hip-Hop
3. Summary of the band: Just one guy, Shing02. I'm not sure what his real name is. o.O He's a Japanese hip-hop artist who grew up in Tanzania, England, and Japan. He's gained tremendous support in Japan. I guess I could say that he might be okay even for people who don't really like hip-hop, because I don't, but I like his music.
4. Recommended songs:
(He worked with other people in a few of these)
Luv (Sic) - I recommend every part of this song (it has 3 parts). Lyrics are fantastic and every part has a great beat. Only in English.
Love You Like Water - Nice beat and lyrics. Calm song. Only in English.
Battlecry - Very cool lyrics, and beat of course. Opening song for Samurai Champloo. Only in English, I think.
400 - Interesting piano beat and cool chorus. Only in Japanese.
Lift the Fog Up - Awesome beat. Good lyrics. Only in English, I think.

Gah, that was a lot of info... gonk
1. Artist/Group Name: Dong Bang Shin Ki / Tohoshinki
2. Type of music/Genre: Please elaborate on this, some people may not understand the name of the genre. (Visual kei is not a music GENRE) Korean pop, Japanese pop, ballads, and dance songs
3. Summary of the band: Member names and positions, because some people care about that. Again, what type of band they are. (You can put visual kei here) They are a very popular Korean group that later also gained recognition in Japan, China, etc. They debuted in December of 2003, in a Boa-Britney Spears Christmas Special, and debuted in Japan in 2005. The members are: Hero Jaejoong (Kim Jaejoong), who is lead vocals, U-know Yunho (Jung Yunho), who is bass, Micky Yoochun (Park Yoochun), who is baritone, Xiah Junsu (Kim Junsu), the baritenor, and Max Changmin (Shim Changmin), the tenor.
4. Recommended songs: Please tell why you have recommend that song, and a general review of the song.

Bolero - A powerful ballad with strong vocals
Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimattan Darou? - A touching ballad that talks about the hesitance of a man letting go of a woman he loves to let her pursue happiness
Hug - Their debut song, cutesy and pop-ish
And many others. :]
Hi,
I just find out that i like Japanese Music. I ask my friend about some good *CDs*. She then introduce me to Kat-tun. The band is pretty good i like some of their songs overall i think is a great band. Now i would like some more artist. I listened to some naruto, bleach, and one piece theme songs i really like them.

Any suggestions would be appreciate =]
1. Artist/Group Name: Supernova
2. Type of music/Genre: K-pop and a bit of R&B//Rap in the song, the songs are mostly upbeat and fuun, the lyrics are a bit odd when translated to English, but still a good band.
3. Summary of the band: Hm. I can't say I know all of their names yet, but I am watching them indeed. They are a newer boy-band, and yes one of those dancing ones. They look like they are going to make quite the band ^^
4. Recommended songs: Super Star
1. Super Junior
2. K-Pop (Korean Pop) There are some of there songs that are electronica and sometimes R&B.
3. Super Junior (Korean: 슈퍼주니어), often referred to as SJ or SuJu (슈주), is a boy band from Seoul, South Korea formed by SM Entertainment in 2005. With a total of thirteen members, Super Junior is the largest boy band in the world. The group consists of Leeteuk (leader), Heechul, Han Geng, Yesung, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum, and Kyuhyun.
4. Sorry Sorry: This song definitely has a good beat to it, and one can't help but start going on a dance rampage when listening to it~ heart (or that may possibly just be me... ^^; ) I recommend watching the official MV for it, because the dance is almost like a part of the song~
Monster: This is a darker song than SJ usually does, but it is very catchy. There is no official MV for this one though. It is not really a dance song like Sorry Sorry.
1. Artist/Group Name: Mass of the Fermenting Dregs
2. Type of music/Genre: Alternative Rock, Post-Rock, Shoegaze
3. Summary of the band: Natsuko Miyamoto plays guitar and vocals, Chiemi Ishimoto plays bass and does backup, and Isao Yoshino plays drums and is also backup. They're often compared to Number Girl and are influenced heavily by western groups in their style and songwriting.
4. Recommended songs: All of them
From self-titled: delusionalism, Highlight, Bears
World Is Yours: Kaku Iu Mono, She is inside, He is outside, World Is Yours
Hikizuru Beat / Made: Hikizuru Beat

Reasons: It's ******** Shoegaze.
Small Waves

Reasons: It's ******** Shoegaze.

I love the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, along with a few songs from Flow.

But, I want to expland my playlist a little. So, I'm looking for suggestions!

I want bands (J-rock, K-pop, whatever) that have a similiar style to Asian Kung-Fu Generation. It's not that I'm not open to different sounds and what not, but the suggestions I've been getting aren't really working out so well.

I get this slower paced music and the Korean version of rap. Not really what I want, you know?

So, if you all can help me out, that'd be great 3nodding
My favorite artist is Gackt
The song I know you should listen to is Redemption
Because it is a very cool song
And Gackt is really sexy in this song

Alrighty, I need help. I've found OODLES of awesome Japanese rock bands such as Ellegarden, Girugamesh, D'espairsRay, Beat Crusaders, UVERworld, etc.... but, I'm having a hard time finding good Korean & Chinese rock bands. So far I have found Nell, Sugar Donut, and Vanilla Unity as far as Korean bands go, Nell is amazing, you should check them out if you haven't already! As far as Chinese bands, I've found King Ly Chee, Silver Ash, and Whence He Came. Please help me find some more bands!! Leave suggestions on my guestbook on my profile, cause I don't feel like going through umpteenth pages of suggestions to find no one posted any for me, you know? Also, keep the suggestions as similar to the bands I've posted as possible. Thanks in advance.
