You'd think this thread would have a higher post count.
I was wondering if someone could make some recommendations to me.

I'm very picky and selective on music. It's very hard for me to find a band/singer that I really love.

Some of my favorite Japanese bands/singers are L'Arc en Ciel, Porno Graffitti, Nightmare, Gackt, Buck Tick, and Yoko Ishida (I have a preference for male singers most of the time).
I don't like really heavy stuff (some of the Dir en Grey was like that for me).

Any suggestions?

Oh, and thanks in advance!

It seems most people I've talked to have never heard of this artist, but if you like dramatic-y music like E nomine or even Nightwish with somewhat of a techno/beat background, and you don't mind that its in swedish, then Nanne Gronvall is someone you should check out.

It is kinda hard to find her stuff, but I found several on limewire and a couple similar places, they even have a couple of her music videos on youtube.

Her number one track is Hall om Mig, though I prefer Om du Vir.

My only problem is finding where to buy one of her CD's.

And if anyone knows of any more bands that have the same kind of sounds as E nomine, Nightwish, and Rammstein it would be much appreciated if someone could let me know what they are.

Much thanks.

I would definitely say "Sangatsu Kokonoka" by Remioromen.
Alright, this guy is obviously not known on Gaia... so let me introduce his to you guys.

1. Artist/Group Name: Anson Hu or Yan Bin Hu
2. Type of music/Genre: Chinese Pop. I think he falls under R&B too? Not sure.
3. Summary of the band: He is a 22 year old male who debuted with his album, Music Code, in 2006. So he's like brand new. Plus he's a great looker. And he dances! And in his AMVs, he has this thing where he points at you and it's HOT! -cough- okay here's the guy, he'll also be in in my siggie for a while...

Also Buried Hero, or the Burial of Heroes is good, The up beat Emperor is excellente too!

3. Summary of the band: 13 guys, running around and dancing. Wow. Hot. Yes please. Hee Chul is my fav for the obvious reason of crossdressing! <333 Also, they have smaller bands within themselves. the brilliant green, they're one of the few non-hardcore bands I listen to, they're an alternative/power-pop band, the lead singer is Tomoko Kawase, her voice is very refreshing, it doesn't overpower the music
This one hasn't been suggested yet.

Artist/Group Name: NINE MILES
Type of music/Genre: Reggae/Electro
Summary of the band: Yoshiaki Manabe (all instruments, also in the band "the pillows" wink WARNING: All songs in Engrish. No lyrics available, except for "word of mouth", "Return of the Polar Bear (Reprise)", and "Heart is there"
Reccomended Songs:
1. Sweet sweet anthem from RETURN OF THE POLAR BEAR. Why? Because, it sounds huge. Generally just a great sound, amazing, splendid, it showcases Manabe's voice so wondefully.
2. Freeze contact from Solomonic Polar Bear. Why? Smooth, great sounding song. Shows off Manabe's great talent for music. Everything's great about the song.
3. word of mouth. Wow, what an amazingly romantic song... Just, simply great.
