I checked the Suggestions List, and couldn't find this band anywhee, so I decided to suggest it ^_^~

1. Artist/Group Name: Tokio Hotel (a little background info on the name: 'Tokio' for the lively and engaging city of Tokyo and 'Hotel' for the band's constant touring around the country)

2. Type of music/Genre: I suppose their genre is rock. Pop-rock maybe? Wikipedia lists it as pop rock, so I'll go with that.

3. Summary of the band: A very cool German band. They're fairly new, getting started in 2001, I believe. Bill and Tom Kaulitz are twins, and I think Bill does the singing. The other two members of the band are georg and Gustav. I'm not sure what the role of any of them are, instrument-wise, since I've just recently heard of and liked them.

4. Recommended songs:
Schrei (Scream) -- I recommend it because it's FUN xD It's very fast and alive, and sounds so colorful, you'd enjoy it even if you didn't know German.

Rette Mich (Rescue Me) -- It's very slow, very soothing, and if you like slow songs with pretty-voiced boys singing, this is the song for you. It captivates me every time I listen to it. Also, the so-very-prominent German accent is so cute, when you hear this guy sing ^_^

These are my two favorite songs by Tokio Hotel, and since they are so vastly different I thought I'd list them ^____^

I hope I did this right ^^'
Does anyone know of good French rock or trance artists? D:

yeah, my bf wants to know if there is j-ska umm so nobody knows any bands??
1. Artist/Group Name: Maj Karma
2. Type of music/Genre: Rock, and maybe a bit of Techno. They have a lighter sound, but they still have the rock guitars and all the stuff to make a good band.
3. Summary of the band:
Herra Ylppö - vocals and lyrics
Häiriö Piirinen - guitar
Kimmo Kurittu - bass guitar
Janne Savolainen - drums
The people's names are a bit strange, and that's because they come from Finland and they sing in Finnish. Don't expect to understand what they're saying most of the time.
4. Recommended songs: The only good song I've heard so far is 'Rukous', and I like it because it has a strange flow to it, but still sounds harmonic.
One more band to add to the list: Little by Little, sang Naruto's 3rd OP.

And I heart Janne Da Arc, did you knew the band's name come from a woman? XD
I love MAlice Mizer, their songs are origional, with such a unique classical/techno/rock/? style... It makes me happy.
1. Big Bang [빅뱅] [uh, I kinda want to make a new one.... sad ]

2. Big Bang is a Korean band who sings mostly R&B and Hip-Hop style music. This includes mostly music with rapping and strong beats. It features strong vocals in R&B which is music with a slow tune but strong beat and Hip-Hop history. Hip-Hop is what it says, music that again has a strong tempo, catchy, and straight-forward.

3. Like I said, Big Bang is a Korean Band who sings in R&B and Hip-Hop/Rap. Different group members sing the different styles-- I'm going to be pretty brief but....

G-Dragon: "Leader" of the group-- he was a so-called child star of Korea who started his rapping career very young. He does primarily rap in the group.

Tempo: The oldest member of the group who also does the rapping. He has a deeper, more throaty voice than his younger counterpart, G-Dragon. He is, again, one of the main singers.

Tae-Yang: So far, recognized by his corn-rolls. smile He is one of the main singers of the group who does mostly R&B singing but occasionally comes to do light Hip-Hop. He was originally doing music with G-Dragon before Big Bang was formed.

Dae-Sung: Along with Seung-ri and Tae-Yang, Dae-Sung is one of the main vocalists who studied under Wheesung, a famous YG family member who now trains the Big Bang group.

Seung-ri: By far, the youngest of the group, by age. He was discovered on the show Shinhwa Battle-- a T.V. show airing in Korea-- but he was not chosen as the final six. He later joined Big Bang as vocalist and singer.

4. A Fool's Tears: Although it is part of their first single, I think this song shows all of their strongest points put into one song. Later on, they have been starting to seperate skills a little--especially in the third single. This song features the entire group performing a R&B song that includes a slow beat but a deep, enjoyable tune. It primarily brings to light the singing of Dae-Sung, Tae-Yang and Seung-Ri. In one section of the song features G-Dragon with light rapping and in the background is Tempo [well, only because he usually does more upbeat music]. Many accuse Big Bang of ripping this music off from American R&B artists such as Omarion or B2K... nonetheless, highly Recommended as first song.

B I G B A N G: This song is a very Hip-hop tune and is from their newest and third album, B I G B A N G 03. It's very catchy and danceable-- even though I didn't really enjoy it at first but listening to it two or three times mixed with my other music eventually got stuck in my head. It features primarily G-Dragon, Tae-Yang, and Dae-Sung-- but it's unclear at this point. The voices are light but nonetheless it has a very straightforward and in-your-face feel.

Forever With You: Another song from the third album that showcases the talents of G-Dragon and Tempo. The hip-hop song also guests Park Bom, another one of YG Family's newest face. Her debut is featured with this song. This song is great because of the great beat but also the contrast of Tempo's deep voice with G-Dragon's more vivacious one as well as Park Bom's deep-throated [in a good way], middle-range singing. Even though this is more of a slow song, Big Bang takes advantage of showing that they can reach a far range in the R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap genre.

By the way, the link to the 'un'official thread for Big Bang is: HERE.
Okay I'm new to J-Rock and J-Pop so if people would be kind enough to PM me their favourite bands please do so!

But to keep on topic, I listened to the Mad Capsule Markets and they were pretty great! 3nodding
1. Artist/Group Name : uverWORLD
2. Type of music/Genre: J-rock
3. Summary of the band: |Takuya, vocals Shintarou, percussion Nobuto, bass Akira, guitar Katsuya, guitar| Most people know this band from D-tecnolife, the 2nd opening to BLEACH, but over the last year or so they've released 6 singles and produced one album. I've listened to all of there songs and can honestly say they haven't put out a bad song. Some of them aren't as good as others, but none of them have been bad. They are currently working on a new album due out january 18th. For comparisons sake they sound a bit like orange range only less spastic. some of there songs also remind me of Do As Infinity
4. Recommended songs: Please tell why you have recommend that song, and a general review of the song. - Kimi na Suki no Uta (that song you like) - It's there newest single and its a good example of what they do
