You don't have "47 different monthly ongoing titles." You have 47 ideas. And this isn't an impressive statistic, since quantity doesn't necessitate quality.

I also question to quality and competence of your "financial backers," since they seem to be willing to invest in a "company" (doubting the likelihood of your incorporation, here) that wants to enter an already-saturated and innovation-resistant market (superheroes) with 47 monthly titles right off the bat. Never mind that any company with this many titles would need a small legion of administrative staff to do sales, artist/press/distributor liaison, accounting, and pre-press. And at least one lawyer.

rolleyes all i need are a few artists, colorists, and yes i have a lawyer. ive got the materials to publish, and have the first nine issues of everything almost done all by myself. i can hire assistants as needed, and i have two different ways of distribution. one of which is free of charge, and one that is fair in the rate they are charging me.i also have in house printing. if u want a job, post. if u don't, stay out of my forum or u get reported for harassment. this is NOT a discussion thread. stare

FROM THE DAWN OF TIME WE CAME.......MOVING SILENTLY,DOWN THROUGH THE CENTURIES....

Your inkjet printer does not constitute "in house printing," even though it is located in your house and prints.

Your absolute lack of professionalism makes me doubt everything else you're listing off. A real business wouldn't post eye rolls when doubted. A real business would also know how to spell the word "you" and use proper grammar, punctuation and capitalization.

And I REALLY doubt that you alone have created 9 issues of 47 quality books at 33 pages each. That's 13,959 pages.

Report me all you want, but I'm not harassing you, so nothing will be done. You can't set a rule of "no posting in my thread" and have someone posting in it get banned for breaking your personal rules. On the other hand, offering to trade real money for services via Gaia can indeed get you banned, and if you are a real company I assume you'd be paying people (although, you haven't mentioned it--hey, maybe you work for Tokyopop and don't plan to pay people at all). So I suppose that becomes a caveat of "report me at your own risk."

There's a host of reasons why I do not believe your statement that you're 33 and in ownership of a company with "three financial backers," the first of which is that, in three posts, you have yet to offer any proof of any of what you're saying. If I were running a company, and looking on Gaia (of all places) for people to work in it, the first thing I'd do is post as much stuff as possible to prove the legitimacy of the company. I would answer any questions regarding it, and I certainly wouldn't threaten anyone who questions my legitimacy with "I'm gonna git you banned waaaaaah."

I don't believe your claim of your age, either, because "this is an online game, spelling doesn't count" is the classic argument of the teen/tween who doesn't like to pay attention in English class and wants to rationalize his or her poor command of language, rather than admit that his or her skills are indeed poor.

Wow, you really sound like you'll be a joy to work with. Is this response really supposed to ensure the faith and trust of your potential hires in your ability to run this business?

No one is harassing you. We're not insulting you, following you around the forums to snipe at you, or sending you threatening PMs. And frankly, you're hardly the first guy to threaten to have me banned for being skeptical about your plans of funnybook superstardom

Strangely enough, I'm still here.

We're supplying civil, on-topic responses to a post. If you want to really show me what-for and quell my suspicions about your competence, nothing would knock my argument on its back faster than a decent business plan.

And from what I've seen of your understanding of copyright law, business incorporation, and pre-press production, I truly and sincerely hope you're exaggerating your age. A 30-something who claims posting art online somehow compromises its copyright would just be too heartbreaking.

These walls don't build themselves.
wait--two methods of distribution? one of which is free of charge? free of charge--as in you're not demanding they pay for shipping, or do you mean you're giving the comics away free?

is the other method Diamond? because they are they ONLY comics distributor in the US.

do you have a website? and why have you agreed not to show any copyrighted material? you have to show some just to drum up interest.

and frankly, you could show us ordinary non-comic-related sketches so we could know what sort of project the artists would be inheriting.

and pay-rate? or did you pick gaia to advertise on because kids don't need as much money as adults?

Require example of stories.

So you have an agreement not to post art anywhere? Makes publishing a tad tricky.

Legally post art? Why can you not post examples now?

art WITH the name of said character would breech my own policies...not to mention agreements with said financial backing.(also art WITH costumes, would as well) and as for any information other than the original post, had u just showed me some of your artwork, and applied for said job,i would have directed u to my profile, which has my actual e-mail address.where u could send me an e-mail to inquire about fees, and royalties, and a little more information. anything more than that, would require u to sign confidentiality agreements. and no that still would not require me to say what my copyrights/trademarks are. as for a business plan, the only thing artists need to see is a written legal and binding work agreement, stating how much, and when they will get paid per page. as well as when the artwork will be published, and weather it is nationwide. also what i am planning to pay for signings at conventions, and other appearances. and calling someone a liar, when u know next to nothing about them, constitutes flaming.

If everything about your comics is tip-top superduper secret, how the hell would you advertise or promote them?
