3. The most important rule: do not take any art from this shop unless it was made for you! Straightforward. Don't take any pets that belong to someone else, don't take and edit any of my work, don't take the templates to create your own, don't use any of my accessories in your own work.

4. The second most important rule: be polite and courteous, both to myself and to anyone else in the shop. Don't demand, don't complain about how long it takes, don't beg either myself or anyone else

5. Try to be active. This rule is more for your benefit than anyone else's, and is not a requirement so much as a suggestion. If you remain active, you'll get to breed, participate in events, receive any freebies, and generally reap the benefits of having your own Furcifer!

The Furcifers, known affectionately as the Sweet Rascals, are an impish race of creatures born from and into pranks. Every time a human being plays a trick on another, every time someone does something naughty, a blob-like baby Furcifer is born. As new tricks are invented, new pranks imagined up, new types and varieties of these creatures are found out in the world.

Of course, once enough Furcifers were born they started to create their own little societies. Invisible to the human eye, they took up residency anywhere overlooked -- creaky attics, leaky basements, the backs of drawers. From there they live on the sort of small items that no human being would ever miss. Whenever rubber bands, pens, twist ties, buttons, and [on special occasions] socks go missing, that is their work. Their feasts.

Other problems around the house could also be their doing: wobbly chairs, creaky floorboards, dripping faucets and other minor inconveniences. These minor acts are their mating rituals, the pranks required to give birth to new Furcifers into loving families.

Furcifers have no gender; all of them are born the same, all of them grow the same, and any adult Furcifer can breed with any other adult Furcifer.

They are not, however, all identical.

Color
The Sweet Rascals come in absolutely every color of the rainbow, as well as black and white, with detailing and eyes in just as many colors.

Pattern
There are four main "body patterns" of the Furcifers; solid, spotted, striped, and skeleton!

Detailing
There are four possible "detailing elements" that any Furcifer can have in any combination: colored tummies, colored arms and legs, colored ears, and colored eyes!

Horns
Some of these creatures grow horns of one of four types: devil horns, long horns, ram horns or wicked horns. The color these horns are usually determined either by the body color of the creature or the detailing colors.

Pupils
Different Furcifers have different types of pupils, as well: round, snake, heart, star-shaped, or plus sign pupils.

Tummy Symbol
Finally, almost every Furcifer is born with some kind of symbol on its tummy. At the moment, there are eight known symbols - heart, star, flower, clover, horseshoe, skull & crossbones, spiral and a question mark.

Baby Stage

As a baby, all that can be seen of the Furcifer is the basic colors; body and eye. There is no hint of patterning, pattern colors, pupil style, horns, or anything else that marks the creature as an individual. This stage usually lasts about two weeks.

Child Stage

The Furcifer as a child starts to show a bit more personality; the body detailing will start to appear at this stage, as well as patterning. The very beginnings of a tummy symbol will appear on its tummy, and there will be snub horns if is going to grow horns as an adult. This stage usually lasts about two weeks.

Adult Stage

Once it hits adulthood, the Furcifer shows all its individuality and, on top of this, is able to wear the accessories found below. Adult Furcifers can also choose to breed together and give birth to new little bundles of joy.

Flatsales
Flatsales will be announced a week before they go up, so that active members get a shot at them and know to plan ahead. All flatsale babies will be unique. They will not be customizable. Prices will be announced at time of sale.

Furcifers purchased during flatsale are purchased as-is, and their adult stages will be a total surprise. Owners get to narrate a 'birth prank' in their order -- this is the prank that resulted in the little creature's birth. This prank may or may not have an effect on the Furcifer's adult stage.

When responding to a flatsale, follow these steps:

1. Post the form in this thread. Fill out all required information, and make sure that no one has posted for the same baby before you.
2. Send trade immediately. Initiate a trade with the Furcifers account for the required amount as soon as you post.
3. Confirm trade. Your rascal will be ready for adoption as soon as you hit 'confirm'.
