Welcome to the Miso Shrine!
This shrine was built in honour of the Miso Godess, Misoso.

It is said that long, long ago, a very picky and cruel emperor
had ruled Japan. This king always required delicious food, but even the
top chefs of the country couldn't please him. He had threatened to
execute all chefs of the country if no one brought him delicious food soon.
The citizens panicked, they searched all over the country and even the
neighbouring areas, travelling back and forth to find a chef that will suit
the king's taste, but failed. Depressed, the chefs awaited their deaths.
It was then when a beautiful maiden had descended from the sky.
She granted the chefs the recipe of Miso, taught them new cooking methods
and how to use miso as flavoring. The chefs then presented the new dishes for
the king, and surprisingly, he was finally pleased. Since then had the maiden
vanished, and earned the name Misoso.

The legend of Misoso has been spread over the entire world, and the
shrine has become a tourist hotspot. Even a gift shop was built, selling
Japanese souvenirs, along with a little restaurant that serves traditional dishes.

Today the temple is run by Miso-tan.
Feel free to ask Miso-tan should you fellow visitors require any assistance!

Note: This shop was originally created by Sugarlette.
She is responsible for all the existing art and any that may be added
will be of my own hand and labeled outside her fabulous creations. Enjoy.
