make gaia compatable with microphones and webcams

almost every site lets you chat with people using mics or cams so why not make a web cam chat on gaia? just a suggestion give some feedback

I personally don't think that sort of function should be added to gaia. if people want to use that sort of thing then they can use other things like yahooIM or Skype.

Precisely! The problem lies in the fact that a lot of people who use gaia and interact with each other on here are complete strangers and not real life friends or family! Plus, there are already PLENTY of other services that offer video conferencing. Even facebook offers it and so does AIM! If we add that type of feature to gaia I'm also concerned that it might open doors to serious legal and moral issues. Part of the safety features on gaia is that every conversation, whether it's a PM, guild thread, public thread, or comment, can be reported and removed if it's inappropriate. With a video chat feature it would be nearly impossible to enforce the TOS and it could open up the doors to all sorts of issues that I'm sure the officials at gaia don't want to deal with (adult pornography, child pornography, prostitution, etc).
