You should read some McCaffrey. Dragonriders of Pern, The Rowan saga (which is actually a saga because it follows three generations of the same family through two alien invasions), and many of her stand-along books are all wonderful reads with deep, meaningful, creative, individual characters who interact with one-another wonderfully. Damia even has awkward virgin sex, if described in an extremely chaste fashion.

Even Vampire Academy has it's fair share of awkward sex, somehow, although i don't think it was as well-meaning as what you mentioned, Aourai. redface

Damia is about a very powerful telekenetic/telepath who is coming of age. Her first sexual encounter is like that of Rogue. She fries the poor dude's brain. T.T

I was talking about Vampire Academy's share of awkward sex, Aourai...i wasn't out to say otherwise about Damia, as i suspect that it's even more awkward than what Christian and Lissa...ended up doing in Frost-Bite, really[Although Frost-Bite is somewhat better than New Moon, but how much is it worth saying, outside the ending, i best leave it to everyone else, as in my eyes, it's better than New Moon, but for the most part against the Sea of Monsters?Not so much!]

Anyway, Twilight is not a saga, it is not the only thing worthy of the title "book", and it contains a shitton of things that make it a paradox to proclaim that Twilight is amazing while saying that other books have flaws.

And for those who say he's the new Romeo, he is not. Romeo from Shakespheare's Romeo and Juliet is not the ideal boyfriend. In fact the play is a satire of how teenagers preceive lust "love" feelings. And suicide in the name of love is not sexy or romantic.
