I don't HATE Light, but I don't like him. I think he's super full of himself and he thinks he can and should get away with everything.

L is way cooler than him. Although, I hate the amount of people who cosplay L because all you do is dye your hair black, style it in an emo fashion, put on baggier than normal jeans, and wear a long sleeved white shirt. Oh, don't forget the eyeliner and walking all slumpish-like.

In all techincallity Light did not kill L he was just the catalyst for the said act. Rem was the one who wrote the name down, and that was effing genius how Light manipulated that. Anyway the character of Light is quite interesting as he is supposedly our protagonist the one we're suppose to root for, I really don't get why people root for L he's creepy with out evil a psychopath thing that usually makes up for the creepy-ness.

To me what makes Light's character likeable? Well he believes what he is doing is right and he believes it fully it isn't just his job or some game to him. Also out of all the geniuses on the show he is the most relatable and normal looking, can I say that, sure. His plans are great when you find out how he did the whole thing. I actually had to clap when L died because that was greatness portrayed there. Pure genius and talent. He's intriguing on how he works. Yes he becomes colder, but maybe just maybe if he had been placed in those situations he wouldn't have gone farther off othe deep end. We will never know, all in all Light is a wonderful character. Ya know?

Light is an interesting character...

I will say that he's more twisted in the manga than anime, but then, the manga is more enjoyable.

My personal opinion of him, however, is quite the same as the rest of yours...

I don't like him.

I enjoyed L's aspect, but my favorite character is Near.
