First off, you proved nothing. Proving that secular parts of a book that's widely accepted to be partially historic may be accurate historically does not = proving anything about God.

You find it so hard to believe that atheists don't believe in a god. Let me ask you a question: why do you not believe in, say, Zeus? If believing a deity doesn't exist makes a person ignorant, you're only one god shy of being as "ignorant" as atheists.

Also, please be aware that there are people who are neither atheistic nor Christian. You make it seem as if those are the only two groups.

And the other religions have similar copy pasta articles (I've seen Muslim ones and Hindu ones) that are more convincing than that. Other religions have personal tales of miracles, divine interventions, healings, supernatural intercession, etc, among it's members, ancient and modern. People of other religions have their own spiritualities, morals, gnosis experiences, etc. You just have a blind spot to them, and view the world through your specific religion's tinted perspective.

It's funny, because if the Evangelical View of Christianity is correct, God is this trickster that allows all of these just-as-convincing religions with their own tales and personal encounters with miracles, divine interventions, spirituality, morals, etc, to exist, but only one is right, the rest are trap doors to the ooga booga red devil guy's domain.

It defies all sense and logic. But that's what you get with angry, jealous, genocidal tribal desert gods and their talking snake sidekicks.

I never thought that knowing there was a God or not was really all too important, only the belief in a higher power that brings hope to you in your darkest hours.

There is of course an abundance of evidence to support the birth, life & death of Jesus of Nasareth, although whether he was the Son of God, or God Incarnate, is now uncertain as too much time had passed in actual written records between Christs death and the construction of the bible, along with the purging of artefacts, scriptures & witnesses by the Romans.

Plus being that most of the stories as told in the Bible are found in other religions throughout the world, as the Catholic church was consuming the world by incorporating minor religions and demonising other cults, then I'd personally say that it doesn't matter what religion you follow, seeing as they all have the same undertones. Be good throughout your life, be kind to others and you'll be rewarded in the afterlife.

All in all I'd like to think there is a God, although religion is not a prerequisite to belief.

I Believe in things that can be proven physically, scientifically, and mentally. Theories that do not fit in those criteria's. Are un-founded, Mythological nonsense.
