notice how that list isn't comprihensive
murder
stealing dishonoring your parents

but one that is Sexual immorality

And again you quote the Ten Commandments that were covered by Christ.

And can you prove homosexuality is a sexual immorality? Or, at least, that homosexual sex is? Even Leviticus doesn't ban lesbian sex.

yes i do quote the ten commandments not in that list but still in the bible therefore relevant

thats because the isrealite society placed men over women and leviticus was a book written to men

Then why did it specify women in other laws? It said men should not have sex with animals... And women should not have sex with animals. Specifically. Why did it not say women should not have sex with women?

And I know the 10 Commandments are relevant. You were saying that they weren't in the Acts list. That's because Christ already okayed them.

Let us be reminded that these were Ceremonial Laws, and that to fail in following them, one would be considered "unclean" and cut off from the group of people. The Ceremonial Laws need not be followed any longer, in regards to salvation, anyway, for Christ has already completed the Law once and for all. He did not say, "It is finished," for nothing.

Hmm. As much as I am pro gay marriage, I really don't think that being against it makes you a bad Christian.

Regardless of one's opinion on homosexuality, it is VERY unchristian to look down upon homosexuals (or anyone else) or treat them as inferior on a personal basis. There is no denying that.

However, given that the Bible never says that homosexuality is a sin, it never condones it either. Thus leaving it to us to determine whether it is right or wrong. Also, if this quote from the first post is true:

"marriage is a legal term, and does not mean "Christian partnership" or any other such nonsense"

then it is also up to people to define marriage, and pass laws accordingly. Therefore, it would probably be best to remove the issue of religion from the gay marriage debate completely, and whatever stance someone may take on the subject should not determine whether they are a good or a bad Christian.

i beg to differ please read the last 5 pages as i dont want to repeat myself

ps but someone can be wrong without being a "bad christin"

Can you please point me to a quote in the last 5 pages that addresses this topic? I can't seem to find one.

*sigh* You really think I'm making all this up or something, don't you?

Leviticus 20:16, NIV
If a woman approaches an animal to have sexual relations with it, kill both the woman and the animal. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
i now found a definitive verse.....in the new testament please read romans 1:27

Done so. Not definitive. It speaks of lust, which is even a sin by Christ's definition. The unnaturalness speaks of public orgies. And Paul often spoke from his extensively Jewish backgrounds.

I'm going to have to say that historical accuracy is far better than cultural interpretation. We're not saying that we're smarter than Paul. We're simply exploring the time period in which Paul was in so that we may understand what he is saying.

No. I'm not smarter or dumber than Paul, per se. I wouldn't know. However, you can't just look at the translation of a verse and say, "This MUST mean: x". You have to look at the times, the original words, etcetera.

I've done a decently extensive topic on this subject. I've linked you to it once, and I shall do so again. I suggest you read it again. It will cover the verses you will most likely use.

Homosexuality Is NOT A Sin and Other Christian Misconceptions
if you guys are going to put in human opinions without listening to the bible then goodbye
