I TOLD you not to bring that up!

Christ's teachings covered the Ten Commandments. They did NOT cover the other laws.

the pharises obeyed the law very strictly. but they didn't seek gods heart. they only wanted to look holy
if god hates gay sex im pretty sure he doen't love homosexuality

p.s. im not saying he doesn't love the people who are homosexual though

Except, I am not a legalist. So, the verse only condemns homosexual sex, but where does it condemn homosexuality? You're only saying that if God hates homosexual sex, then He must also hate homosexuality. Tell me how this does well for you if I said that because sex can be used wrongly, that God hates sex altogether?

if gods laws don't apply anymore why do we even need grace??

If God's laws do not apply anymore why do we even need grace? The opposite of the Law is grace. Grace is defined as, "undeserved, unmerited favor." We cannot earn grace, but God bestows it liberally on whomever He so chooses. The Law, however, demonstrates to us the goodness of God, while showing how we lack that goodness and are in need of it by the one who possesses this goodness intrinsically. We are not good, but from God comes that goodness. As it is written, "In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: YHVH Our Righteousness" (Jer. 23:6).

let me ask a question do you belive god is everlasting and unchangeing?

*sigh* God is eternal. That doesn't mean He can't change His mind. He changed His mind about hating humans, didn't He?

Yes. But, I am sure that because I said, "Yes," you are going to say, "Well then, how can God just put aside His laws?" It's the simple fact that before the laws were present, God was.

That's too easy of a way out, linaloki, and is in opposition of Numbers 23:19, which says, "God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?"

I'm glad I memorized that verse.

Because He hasn't told us so? And that would be a bitchy thing to do?

"Sorry, guys. Yeah, I know I told you that Christ was the way to get into Heaven... But I decided that was too easy. I changed it to 'You've gotta win 14 Hopscotch Tournaments.' My bad."

Genesis 6:6-7
The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them."

My mistake for saying hate. Regret is a better word.

How do you know that god didn't change his mind and make eating chocolate a sin? Burden of proof, silly person.

Regardless, it's there. And if not, then the same would have to be about him quoting Genesis. But, I don't think that just because he does not believe that Christians are bound by Ceremonial Laws, that he denies the Tanakh altogether.

Well, perhaps He did not change His mind. Rather, then, He planned to use Christ all along, as the Prophets foretold, and it was all in His plan.

I suppose when I say "Change mind" I mean "think ahead"? I don't really know how to explain it... But I think the Laws were guides to keep the Israelites safe, healthy, and populated. Then Christ came along and the Israelites no longer needed those Laws.
im not saying he did im just saying by your logic that he could have
