it was an honest question, I wanted to know how many people in here have attended a bible college. i don't really have anything else to say about the subject in my own opinion, i stated it, it's done.

Are teachers at Bible colleges really authorities on the Bible, though? Many disagree with each other even within the same colleges. Especially with the end times...

This is extended discussion, which means you have to back it up. Also, several of us have had bible classes in college, or world religion classes, so asking if we had gone to bible college is trying to make yourself look like you know more, when you probably dont.
maybe not, but it is a valid argument that they know more about the bible than most christians, have studied it in depth and in other languages. It is true they may disagree within the same college about some things, but I find it necessary to hear as many opinions as possible and gauge them with my own. it's quite possible that I have not yet "decided" that I believe homosexuality is not a sin. My opinions can adapt as information comes.

that's not what I'm doing. I asked how many have been to bible college. i did not say 'because I'll only consider what you have to say' or 'because I have' because I HAVE NOT as of yet. I will be attending next fall. obviously I don't know more.

But you have yet to give us the reason why you don't believe that homosexuality is not a sin.
I want to hear your reasonings and your opinions on why the information presented in the OP was not good enough for you to decide that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality as a sin.
my first reason is that this is the first time, ever, that this argument has been presented to me this way, and I need time to think/pray about it and research it myself. As of right now, my stance is that it is someone else's opinion, someone else's interpretation. I will say that it looks and sounds legitimate.
For example. I agree with the whole thing about leviticus not applying to us anymore. But it is my opinion that the three words that do not necessarily mean homosexuality, just might. It depends on who is interpreting it. "effeminate pervert" "man, bed" it sounds like homosexuality. the key word is SOUNDS. maybe it's not. maybe it is. but right now the only solid "proof" i have that homosexuality is a sin is what acts says, and i need to look at it a little closer, by what is stated here. i hope that will suffice
ok, i might be saying something that has been said before, but bare with me, im crunched for time and did not read the Entire thread. also, please excuse my bad grammar/capitolization.

im not a christian, i am a firm scientist and beleive in evolution. more on that later. i remember hearing somewhere sometihng about "respect thy neighbour." just that simple sentence sums up about 3/4 of the first post. if you are against gay marriage, you are narrow minded--wich most devout christians, im sorry to say, are guilty of--and are not nly NOT a true christian, following what 'he' originally died for.

respect thy neighbour. i follow that day to day. and im not even christian, just am able to have a complete train of thought.

send me a message, hatemail or otherwise. please.

Okay. You should find a lot of good reasources in your research. Another good post that has been made on this subject can be found here.

I suppose the thing is the word "might".
Is it right for a Christian, a follower of Christ, who promoted love, to discriminate against people and disallow them their rights because of a "might" or a "maybe"?
that is also true. while I have close friends who are homosexual, in a way I am hurting them by not supporting gay marriage myself. good insight, I never thought of it that way.

Liar. You say "I'm not a nice person" as though you had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

We all have our social diseases, after a fashion. Of course, one of mine tends to be killing people with in my puns mind, but that's another story.

Awww, Chiewy, are you complimenting me? whee

My social disease tends to be "raging violence that leads to lots of hospital's having extra work". First all my random fights, then my motorcycle accident a few months ago... I send them alot of business. sweatdrop

Elf Lord Chiewn
As though that fundamentally alters your being.

No, I was just pointing out that I'm lucky I'm not a Christian, as I'd be horrible at it.

Bad circulation or something? Leaned on the refrigerator too long?

I blame the lack of ear muffs.

yes, I am aware of that, I'm not a new christian.

but people are being seriously mislead. How many people here have attended a bible college or have studied the bible indepth?

Me? And I've come to the conclusion that homosexuality isn't a sin. Shocking, that.

Yeah, but you're biased. surprised Cause you're gay. xp (PS I'm only saying this because of your attempted molestation of me! IT'S REVENGE I SAY!) xp

Ananel is a Christian. Many Christians are not hypocrites. Many Christians are for gay marriage.
