SO'S THE TREATY OF TRIPOLI AND DEISM! OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WERE ALL CHRISTIANS WHO WROTE IN THE CONSTITUTION THAT IT WAS LEGAL TO BURN GAYS AND ATHEISTS AND OTHER HOMO-ENABLERS AT THE STAKE!

"HOMO-ENABLER"? That sounds like an "On" and "Off" switch.

"So, sonny, do you want to enable or disable the homo-fun?"

Haha, I thought that'd make your brain go " gonk ".

Apparently anyone who doesn't outright try and kill homosexual's is a "homoenabler" according to Phelps.
I'll enable his homo...[/crude anti-Phelps reference]

Seriously, can't I get a license to just gun the b*****d down and put him out of my misery?

Remember Department Head Chiewy. We must bide our time until the public realizes the fallacy of believing in those who call themselves "politicians" and turn to true patriots and countrymen like myself for ruling. Once that has happened it will be swift and sure footing for the Revolution, the Purges, and the Reclamation.
Right.
Must allow for processing time on that license.
Could be a while.
Sorry guys, just got here and only read the title of the thread and the first post, but must leave soon to do more thread hopping out of my pure boredomness. domokun Here's what I have to say to who ever made the title...
I'm not saying you do or do not have the right to call us bad Christians, but I am saying that just because we don't have your views on gay marriage, it doesn't mean we are bad Christians. There are so many beliefs under Christianity. We both have different veiws. Different beliefs. You can, if you want, keep calling me a bad Christian. I don't care. Go ahead, if you like. I'm just going to stay true to my own beliefs. 3nodding
Personaly I hope to be married one day, and I don't want some one elses personal views on what's not going to get me into heaven to stop me. I'm not hurting any one or my self by simply loving another man.

The OP, were you to read the thread in any detail, repeatedly states that the intention of the title is to grab your attention. In this, it has quite obviously succeeded. Unfortunately, it has not held your attention enough to actually read the details of the discussion. It is because of that fact that I remain of the view that the attitude sometimes taken here is too harsh.

You are correct: Your teaching does not make you a bad Christian.

It simply makes you wrong, and the teaching you espouse causes both pain to many Christians and creates a situation which helps to perpetuate a rift between some who would come to Christ and the Church, a stumbling block that Paul warns against. I do not think anyone like you intends harm through this act. In fact, I am well aware that most of you actually mean quite well by it, and are intentionally quite loving in the process.

This does not change the pain you cause, the inaccuracies of your teachings or the spiritual dangers that lie along the path of over-adherance to the Law of Moses in the time of the fulfilled covenant.

However, given your previous statement, I do not expect you to return to this place and hear out your opposition or voice your position carefully after preparing to deal with it. I can only hope that, as you grow older, you will actually begin to plumb the scriptures themselves for truth, rather than taking the word of others who hold more to tradition than the actual Word of God. In time, there may be a change in your heart and those of others, though I fear I may actually be a trifle too optimistic at this time.

Fare you well, one way or another.

Your teaching does not make you a bad Christian

I should have expected this from a heretic.

Lemme ask you this: If you believe that being a Christian first and foremost involves a right faith of Christ, then how can you say that one can be a good Christian without a right faith?

Calling Ananel a heretic. That's rich. Ananel knows more about the Bible than any fundie who likes to use ad hom and muslinging than support their beliefs.

Does Ananel know more about what the Bible says? He might. But that's really a red herring.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13 NASB
12For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church?
13But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.

It directly defies the teachings of the early church to interfere with the lives of nonbelievers and by extension it would go against Christian doctrine to support laws that would do exactly that. Aside from that on the practical side of this it certainly drives people away from the church to commit horrible injustices against millions of people in the name of Christ.

That seems somewhat unreasonable to even me, it's quite a questionable argument to say that conservative scholars know less simply because they're conservative.
You are misapplying the verse.

It said not to judge someone outside of the group of believers. It didn't say to condone them, or to legislate in their favor.

Which is exactly what she said. She said nothing about condoning the actions, she said it wouldn't be right to interfere in their lives.
