I'm talking about modern times when referring to witchcraft. -.-
Ah, sorry.
Context = Good
Lack of coffee and waiting for my CO to show up and explain why he's showing up on my door step on the other side of the state from his office = Makin' me jittery.
It's cool. Nines quoted the one part of my post instead of including the sentence before it. (both sentences are of the same point thus why they're in the same paragraph)

I was just trying to be a jokester. Apologies for inciting nit-pickery.

It's cool. I actually giggled when you asked that. I was just explaining it to Militant since he was confused by the looks of it. :3

Which is in the context of Saul disobeying God and lying about it. neutral

Still waiting for a "one man, one woman" thing, the decline of David and Jacob, and where the Bible states homosexuality is a sin.

The bible says

1 Samuel 15:23

YLT
23for a sin of divination [is] rebellion, and iniquity and teraphim [is] stubbornness; because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, He also doth reject thee from [being] king.'

Yes, and?

To be perfectly honest, I'm willing to bet the original Hebrew's context puts that on more of an idolatry scale. (As I assume the bold is what you're referring to.)

Loki: Any chance I can get the Hebrew context on that?

Which, 1 Samuel 15:23? I can give you the verse in Hebrew, as well as all the related verses my HCSB was telling me to look at in Hebrew... but I can't tell you what they mean. sweatdrop

I could get Ty in here, but she's sporadic in her online-ness. There's probably others in M&R that can do the Hebrew thing.
1 Samuel 15:23 most likely speaks to false prophecy. קסם (qecem, divination) can also be used positively, as in Proverbs 16:10. Context is essential to interpreting any such reference; any Hebrew scholar worth anything should not tell you that divination in itself is ungodly or forbidden.

Note the text surrounding the verse. The entire chapter/book is specific.

The laws of Leviticus and Exodus don't apply. Does that mean I can go and kill people and do witchcraft and still be right with God? If I am a murderer, and I know God will forgive me, and I go kill because I know I will be forgiven, am I going to heaven? No...

Argument by question.
Can you provide proof of your claims?

The bit about witchcraft is being debated to death, so I'll let that lie.

EDIT: and If you say that I am a bad christian, aren't you judging ME?

And what if I am?
The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is a sin, and that all sins are punshable by eternal condemnation to Hell. burning_eyes

Yes, they do. Christ did not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it, making it all the more important to keep and honor the law. stare

So you don't eat shellfish or pork, you don't shave your sideburns, and you kick your wife/girlfriend/sister/mother out of town when she's menstruating, right?

Except for the part where it doesn't say that anywhere.

Define Hell, then, and prove it with verses.

Learn basic English, please. This one isn't a translation issue; it's a reading comprehension issue.

What in the unholy ******** do you think fulfill means?
