Welcome to Gaia! ::

you can't even post in the right forum, let alone figure out how to bleach your hair. emotion_facepalm

as a note, if your hair is fried at the ends and you're going to try doing this again, you need to get a trim at the very least. neutral otherwise, you're just going to ******** your hair even more.

She'll probably do the same s**t again and then post about it AGAIN and get butt hurt AGAIN because people are telling her she's posting in the wrong forum.

Probably.
Bleaching your hair isn't something a newbie should do. ~___~ She's gotta be a newbie if she has the hair colors of a calico cat, anyway.

That's funny because I didn't even know I was butt hurt. There's really nothing you can say that will make me butt hurt. So I posted in the wrong forum...*shrugs* So I messed up bleaching my hair...*shrugs* I got a cute hair cut because of it and I'm getting my pay check in a few days so I can either pay someone to do it or try again. I seriously doubt anyone was flawless when trying something for the first time. My feelings aren't hurt at all, too bad ya'll had to show how immature you are with rudeness. But really please have a wonderful day. blaugh

What condition is your hair in? Is it super dry right now, or is it still somewhat soft?

Get Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeep Conditioner and leave it in your hair for about two hours or so.

You start the time after you've applied all the colour/bleach on your hair.

And when you bleach your hair you start at the ends and do the roots later.

Not sure if this is much help. :C

Why don't you just shave your head then? Then you won't have to worry about ******** it up.

I need a cosmetologist, or someone smart with hair dyes and not frying hair. I *tried* bleaching my hair, and I parted my hair in a weird way to do so, and I didn't leave it in long enough, (I actually have a question about the time you keep it in) and so now my hair is black, brown-red, white (at the hair lines) and yellow-orange. My boyfriend nicknamed me Calico yesterday. Anywho here are my questions:
1. Do I start the timer after I've applyed all the color into my hair?
2. How long should I go around looking like this? When is it safe to bleach again to fix it?
3. Is there anything else besides conditioner to give moisture back to my hair...(please keep in mind I'm a broke college student)

Please and thank you for your help, any advice would be appreciated.

Advice? Stop being poor.
I love Aussies 3 minute miracle for regular keep up of my hair. It really helps considering my hair gets SOOOO dry in the winter. and its like 3 bucks :3

As for fixing the color.... I really wouldn't have attempted bleaching your hair unless you knew what you were doing, At this point I'd just color over it with a dark brown until I could afford to see a professional to color correct/bleach it.

Good luck though!
hey there.

sorry that you had an oops.
i know going to see a colourist is pretty pricey, however, it would probably be your best option right now.

seeing as you have a gradient going on...(from what you've described, you had a dark/black colour, then a lighter colour, then your natural roots coming in?) the reason i suggest this is because if you try to bleach it further without knowing the chemical level of the product you're using, you could cause your hair to break, chemically.
(and it is most likely to break closer to the root, where it has stripped more colour [natural or otherwise])

if you are dead set on trying to fix it yourself, however, please wait at least, 3, but preferably a week between, with heavy conditioning between.

also, as someone mentioned before, put dye on dry hair that hasn't been washed for a least 24 hours, and start at your tips, working up to your roots. your timer should start when you have completed the application

feel free to pm me if you'd like more info or just to chat.
biggrin
best of luck!
