Mm, maybe I'll put up links for some good Gazette videos on Youtube, like the Peace and Smile Carnival backstage, and the "Happy Left Right Dance," and other cute things the Gazette boys do. <3

Your thread is really well done. May I suggest putting up links to places where you can purchase their CDs? You might be able to replace the old official thread if you're lucky. Right now your thread is just a repeat thread--which is not allowed. I have a question though. Why did you bother to put up rules? Not to be an a** or anything, but your rules are based on respect, not power. I don't think you can delete posts in this subforum (or at least I can't in my official thread). Another pointer--you can't really crush people's opinions. I can tell you now, at one point or another you are going to get people in here who don't like this band. They will also post their opinions without shame. "Rule" or no rule. One last thing, if you put up "samples" of Gazette's music (which it sounds like you are going to do) keep in mind that Gaia DOES NOT look nicely upon file sharing. But if you put up only a few songs, and something warning people to please delete the samples within 24 hours (which no one ever does, but it's good to put that up) and places where you can purchase their CDs--you should be okay. I did those exact things in my thread, and I've had forum helpers come in and out and be completely fine with it.

The answer to this is yes and no.

Please do not post your own threads for artists if there is an official listed in the topic directory. The official threads are designed to keep all discussion about an artist in one location. If an official thread has been designated, all discussion should take place there. This includes both positive and negative views on the artist. If multiple threads for artists were allowed, the discussion taking place about them would be fragmented. It's nice to know that when you visit the official threads all the fans will be there, ready to talk about their favorite artist's career.

However, if there is no official thread listed in the topic directory for the artist you wish to discuss, we ask that you look through the first few pages of the international music forum to see if there is a thread already established for the artist (but not yet listed in the directory).

If there isn't a thread for the artist you would like to discuss in those first few pages, please feel free to make a new thread. We ask that you include more information in these threads than just asking if people like them. What better way to spread out the love for the bands you enjoy than to make an informative thread including the artist/band's name, a basic history of their career, country of origin and a short discography. If you'd like, even include a list of your recommended songs and albums! That way, the first few pages of your thread will be a handy reference to newcomers.

This does not allow for flaming of threads. Anyone who flames a thread under the pretense of posting their negative opinion should be reported, folks.

I suggest PMing a moderator to make this official, but understand that when it is made official, you'll have to understand that your thread should follow the guidelines that were set up in the FAQ. A great deal of consideration and time was put into making that FAQ, so please abide by it.

Castrated Pumpkin-- Ah, well, first off I didn't realize that you couldn't delete posts, in this subforum. ^^; Therefore some of the rules, like opinions and deleting aren't really valid anymore. I'll take those down now. I didn't realize that part.

Secondly, about the music, since I don't have it up yet, I hadn't said, "delete in 24 hours, etc." but I was planning on doing that once I put it up. ^^; And also since I just started it, I hadn't put up CD purchase links yet, but I was also planning on doing so.

Also, I looked through a large amount of pages today to see if there was a Gazette thread, and I could not find one. Until, of course, right after I made the thread. ^^;

But I do thank you a lot for all of the advice, it is much appreciated. <3


i know nothing. -- Agh, thanks for the heads up. So I'll PM a moderator. If my thread does become official, is there something in my thread that is not following the guidelines in the FAQ? I'll make sure to read through them, but I might accidently end up missing something that I'm doing wrong.
