I don't care if gay marriage is legal or not, and I won't try to help it become legal. I have things I could be worrying about that are actually important.
how is human rights not important?

It's not like gay people are stopped from being together. I don't want to help people get their panties in knots over not being able to get papers saying they're married, which as people say, usually end in divorce anyway.

TL;DR

though actually, they never finished counting the votes for prop8. they just got to a point where yes was winning and stopped.

It's the 2000 Presidential Election all over again! gonk
well they didnt! lol. my friend was a volunteer counting them and they told her to stop when the % was at like 50.4 for it
I was referring the the Fraudulant results. But that really doesn't supprise me.
yea, i was too young to actually care about the 2000 presidential election. so i dont know!
LOL. I was 10 during the 2000 elections. I kept up with as my mom did. I remember wishing I could vote back then.
well so was i, id have rather gouged my eyes out with a spoon then follow them at that point.

its not even about that!

did you know, that if a gay couple have been together for 30 years and one of them gets sick and gets put in the hospital, the other cant legally visit them because they arent married? and they have no power of attorney for the person that they love?

its about a lot more then just being able to say "hey were are married" its about being able to have the same rights as heterosexual married couples.

Like chatting about what you could be doing? Oh, yeah, that's much more important then human rights...

Yeah, I know. Doesn't mean I have to support it. I could be doing something that helps against actual problems. Like HIV, or kids shooting up other kids.
I live in Canada where Gay Marriage is legal and perfectly acceptable. Americans, who claim to be the best Country in the world, need to drag themselves out of the stone age and realize being Gay is not a choice, it's the way you are born. Being forced to be straight is wrong, depriving people of happiness just because YOU aren't the same as them is wrong.

I know plenty of gay people who like people, other then homosexuals, arguing for their rights. Whatever happened to the more the merrier? ._.
I'm just assuming most people here are American, that's all.
All other countries that are against it should get over themselves... But the thing is America is so full of itself and says it's "The Land of Opportunity" and such... It's just retarded, lol.
